Been spending quite a bit of cash on the zeds over the last few weeks So, for the blue car, I've bought some new UK clocks which gets rid of the EL type ones that were/are in it. Think I'll have to fit some chrome speedo rings... got a set lying around somewhere. I've also bought another Veilside evolution exhaust system for the blue one... Will probably end up sitting unfitted in the garage like. For the black zed, I'm waiting on delivery of the Stillen type III lip from mjp. Also bought some nice (but expensive) suspension parts. I got: - Z1 FUCA's (street version) - SPL pro titanium RUCA's - SPL pro titanium tension rods - Driftwo…

Hi guys I had a 4 second misfire a while back and ignored it. Went for a blast the other day and got a permanent misfire on number 1. Ive swapped the coil for number 2 and the issue is still with cylinder 1. Im yet to check the spark plug, wiring seems ok though, even though all the coil connectors just pull off (tabs snapped off) It looks like a series 2 ptu, is there anything else i should look at? Thanks Mark

Right as title really... My zeds fubar, having a rebuild and turbos / injectors... Got good support mods jwt r5 cams, 3" exhaust, 2.5" pipework ba intercoolers, selin dual intake, But which turbos should I go for? I like the look of GT675RS BB turbos, but the newer gtx are probably within my budget, I think I've the setup for the big turbos but not sure which? Hopefully someone can help me work out which is best... It will see track use, as well as drag days etc, not afraid of a bit of lag, but not too much. And going for 740cc injectors

Can anyone recommend a good transport company? Will need to get my zed to jimmer for its rebuild now I've broken it, it's in a bad way lots of smoke and sprung a coolant leak, so driving it there is looking unlikely. Thanks.

Hi, Just looking for a bit of advise on how to value my car, after Many months of the wife complaining my z takes up too much room in the garage and I never have time to use it iv finally given in and she's got to go, just no idea of value and how to price it. The car is a 1991 uk spec manual tt, it's done 72k miles and apart from a bit of a bubble coming on drivers rear arch is in really good condition. It has got service history but not full, mod wise bodywork is standard apart from wheels, it has bigger intercoolers and hks induction kit, it went to see Noel a couple of months ago and is producing 360 wheel hp at only 1 bar of boost that's apparently quite good? So i…

Hi guys I have a small problem with the Zed again - the speedo stopped working (after no warning of an impending problem it became intermittent for a day then just seems to have given up) It just reads zero all the time now and this is messing up the power sterring too. I know there is a possible issue with a bad soldered joint inside the speedo but what has me wondering whether that is the problem is because I also have a separate aftermarket digital speed meter/timer and that has stopped working as well. I think the problem is more likely with the speed sensor and/or km to miles converter but have no idea where to even look for either of those Any ad…

Having owned my Zed for (almost) 3 weeks, I’m now beginning to think about mods. I have a few ideas in mind, in particular the dials. As it stands, I have the standard KMH dials with blue illumination. Now, I have two main issues with said dials. Firstly, there are dark spots where the light doesn’t evenly cover the back of the cluster. Secondly, there is a MPH sticker in the middle of the dial (despite still being in KMH) which is lifting. After doing a bit of digging, I came across a company in Poland called Moman who make plasma dials. They said that they’d be able to make a set which says MPH and (going by the pictures) they look pretty good at night. I…

See the old chestnut has been in the gaze of the members of late so rather than add to the other threads thought my small input might be appreciated on its own. Before deciding what is best auto or manual there are some key points to note first as it can sway the argument either way. So most, if not all automatic boxes in 300zx now will be suffering from age related slow gear change and pondering gear selection at roundabout's and whilst cornering, lack of fluid and strainer service will usually be the demise of the box Most of if not all manual gearboxes in 300zx will have not had an oil change and hence will be less than slick in the gear select…

This questions more for our race guys, but what do people recommend to counter oil slouch during track use? Like the idea of a dry sump, but can't afford one, what with the engine build, turbos and injectors...

The infamous question of auto or manual transmission. (Obviously I'm not an experienced driver so you can call me out if I'm wrong) I have only drives the auto of this car, but personally I think later on I will swap it to a manual. Firstly, being from the 90s, the auto box is sluggish. When you accelerate, it will hover at the high revs for a second, and then shift (not particularly quickly). Yes the auto box is very smooth, but not rapid. Also autos are only 4 speed but I don't know how much difference that makes. Secondly, manuals in general (for me) are so much more fun. My experience of driving comes from offloading so it's much more involving to be …

Hi guys, Quick question: With the JDM models how to people usually wire for a rear fog? I can see that the previous owner has at some point tried to wire in a connection from the switch pod but there's no obvious termination point for the wire and it looks to have been disconnected. The wiring on the control pod is predictably... great, so it'll obviously be redone, just curious as to how you guys recommend I do it. Cheers

We all know how hard it is to find swb exhaust's in the UK but I see a listing for a new middle section on ebay. Who needs one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300zx-SWB-Exhaust-Mid-Section-/391441392541?hash=item5b23b9a39d:g:25MAAOSwZtJW9SbY

So, I'm swapping all the external components from one engine to another and am making a list of all the gaskets etc I need, feel free to add anything I've forgotten. 2 x exhaust manifold gaskets 2 x manifold - turbo gaskets Oil and coolant O-rings 12? Rear sump rubber seal Front sump oil seal 2x head to lower plenum gasket Upper plenum gasket Oil tree gasket Fuel hose clips - any suggestions as the ones I have are complete crap and easily split. Do you use a normal style clip or jubilee clip? Any suggestions for replacing the o-ring style rubber bits on the front of the timing belt covers, new ones are a bit pricey? Cheers guys

Spotted a very nice looking blue 300zx on the King's Road about 40 minutes ago. It was dark but I think it had 99 spec rear lights and spoiler with 5 spoke wheels. Saw a gentleman trying to get inside...I think his missus locked him out [emoji12] I would of stopped to say hello but unfortunately I was driving the bus lol Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Hi All, I have one cylinder down and I've had the coil pack, plug and wiring checked. The other injectors are ticking away nicely but I can barely hear that one. I am assuming that the injector is U/S? So, where do I get them from? All the websites I have found are in the USA? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
