Hi ...apologies for the last thread ...OK..I will subscribe straight after this promise ...... I would like to mimic as close as is possible the rear boxes and dual tailpipes on each side for my UK spec 300zx .....I would like to know the diameter and the length of the exhaust tips themselves along with where they sit in relation to say the rear bumper if you was to have a square line down to the floor from the back of the bumper if that makes sense ? MAybe if someone has the time a couple of close up pics from the side and the rear showing how they sit in relation the the scollop on each side ...I would gladly ping someone a tenner via PayPal for their time ...apologies …

I'm just curious really. I've been changing several suspension bits on the car lately and I noticed the springs on these don't seem to have held up too well so wondered what others are like:

Amateur mistake and not marked where I got these bits from! Been so long that I can't figure out one of the pieces. Fitted driftworks polybushes, hence the large 3mm metal washer (which I assume goes on the bottom side of the bush). From the diagrams I have and memory, I know where the member stay goes, so from the bottom I have the nut > member stay > washer > bush/subframe. My question is, what the hell is this other thing I've refurbished? I'm sure I took it off here.. I've tried fiddling but can't figure out where it's used. It doesn't fit nicely between the member stay and the washer/bush, but has circlular mark the perfect size of the nu…

I spotted this Zed on Friday 22 July at roughly 18:20. This was somewhere between junction 13 and 12 of the M4 heading towards Reading. I didn’t get a very good look at the car as I was too busy trying to find my phone to take a picture. One thing that did stand out was the red glow from the 300ZX logo.

I had the car up on axle stands all afternoon yesterday after an unsuccessful investigation into the knocking on my Z31. It occurs when driving over rough terrain, thankfully I live in Gloucestershire, so lots of shitty roads to test out. A mechanic who I have known for some time, took it for a drive on Friday and heard the knocking. He said it certainly sounded like suspension. Unfortunately, up in the air, he couldn’t find anything. His ramps simulate some movement, he can rock the car side to side a little turn the wheels etc. Nothing seemed out of place or loose. Back to my investigations…I raised the car and tried to move anything that was a joint. The entire…

On Saturday I had a full alignment done on a hunter system I knew the rear camber and toe were out since fitting all the new suspension arms and shocks. Now everything is back into spec it drives absolutely perfect and am very happy with it but as I feared now the rear camber is correct it's brought the tyre sidewall much closer to the arch return lip. It only contacts on those big dips in the road but it's not something I'm prepared to live with. I'm happy with the ride height and the look of the wheel/tyre in relation to the body so I think rolling the lip is my only option. I'm open to any suggestions/advice/opinions on this and if anyone has actu…

Was chatting a nice friend this weekend who bought a brand new Audi TT, we were both discussing about wich car has better performance; he was trying to convince me that I should sell my Z and go for a brand new TT but...I was trying to explain to him that my Z 1996 green cobalt and actually 80.000Kms is way much more car than a brand new TT, despite all the new tech that today´s cars brings wich I could care less, cuz when I go into the Z the last thing that pops up my mind is listening or focusing on gps or high performance music. This brings me a good discussion about would it be worth selling a stunning good condition Z for a audi tt? new?

I'm going to get my alignment done in the morning since I've never had it properly adjusted since fitting the meister r coilovers. Does anybody know the stock settings for wheel alignment? I'm unable to adjust front camber at present as I don't have adjustable fuca, I do have a set of shims but not sure on these to be honest. I'm really interested to know the rear camber and rear toe settings to see if that matches what the wheel alignment centre have on their system.

Thought i would give everyone a heads up as i recently enquired about some pcv valves for my zed tt from Conceptua tuning. Have to say they have been top notch and they got them imported from japan within a week. I dont know if you can get them cheaper from elsewhere? There price is 25quid for the pair. No hoses as yet tho. James

Last year, I organised a "group buy" over on the 350Z forum for retrims. The reason I did it over there first is because they only have two seats which (in theory, anyway) meant I could keep the waiting time down to a minimum. But I've been here for a few years now so I'm considering setting one up for Z32 owners on this fine forum. :thumbup1: There would be a couple of rules and stipulations, so here they are: The discount would be a maximum of 25%, which would be entirely dependent on the numbers involved. If I did it the same as the 350Z one, it'd be as follows: 5 to 9 members total would get a 15% discount, whereas 10 or more members would all receive a…

I have over the last month picked up my zed from Jim at Powerzed. I have had a fully forged engine with bigger turbos, injectors etc along with other works that I added to. I am (as always) amazed at the quality of work and customer service that I have received form Jim. communication all the way through the project has been spot on with regular updates and pictures along the way - attention detail like I have never experienced before and the after care is superb. I drove all the way back to devon on the Saturday - I had a running fault (and not as a result of the works) and Jim came to me very next day and sorted - a round trip of well over 200 miles and the sacrifice of…

...Well, after Funky Si's starting woes last week, it seems we have another seemingly trouble free Zed, deciding to play games. After a successful Coventry trip over the weekend, I used the Zed for work on Monday, as I could not be arsed to move the cars around when we got home. Again, no issues, all was well - and I put the Zed back in the garage Monday evening. I was visiting one of our sites on Tuesday morning, so thought it best to use the SLK. However when I got home Tuesday afternoon, I spotted a wet patch under the garage door - I opened the door and saw the Zed had dumped all its coolant on the garage floor overnight. I can't see where it had leaked from…
