Hi all, I understood that ALL OEM UK clocks had 2 potentiometers in them for speedo range and position adjustment and that Jap clocks only had 1, The reason I ask is that I have bought what are OEM UK clocks in appearance , but when you look at the dial there is only one Potentiometer which make me think they are Jap. This combined with the fact that I took the OEM UK dial out of its cluster and put it in my Jap cluster for ease , only to find it did not work ( exactly the same circuit board on back of cluster between UK and Jap ) has me a bit lost . Thoughts from anyone who knows ? Ta Sayers

Im sure my choice of oil and filter wont go down well with many of you but it works for me. 10-40 semi is more than good enough for a non turbo engine.. I burn a bit on track days so need to top up regularly. It will be changed again after 3000 miles so in my view its all good. Cue an oil debate.......... Im prepared for a long list of reasons why Im wrong:biggrin:

I'm just wondering what the best tools to get are for the zed. There's seems to be several tools out there so I'm a bit unsure on what to get. If these aren't right, can some one point me to the right one. The cR is stuck on the drive at the minute so I can't get it in the air to use a big wrench etc. Number 1 http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=262558875390 Number 2 - seems to just come from the states http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=251516312167

  10. I was gonna install my forge unos bc today but a lack of connectors and wrong size vacuum hose put an early end to that. Anyways I followed the guide on Z32 wiki and it said after taking of the wastegate hoses to follow them back towards the end and remove the stock boost restrictor thats in the line, but getting to them seems physically impossible(perhaps from underneath the engine?). And then I looked at robos z32 page and it didn't mention anything about removing the stock jets, I searched on here too and found an install thread that said the same; just tee the wastegate hoses and plug the remaining hole and off you go... So is that the way to go?

Hi All, I'm trying to solve an issue with serious vibration along the drive tunnel, into the rear of the car and felt in the base/back of the drivers seat (55mph+). The previous owner made me aware of this and he tried changing the prop to a higher spec single piece and the wheels with no success. Following observations and checks have been done: 1) Prop has been checked and balanced 2) Wheels checked and balanced (slight buckle in both rears) 3) Spigot rings are ok and correct fitment 4) Wheels are on securely and have been torqued 5) Subframe is mounted by solid mount rather than poly bushes 6) There does sound like a whining noise coming from th…

So I said I would bring it to a shop to Finnish her up but I feel like there might be something dumb that I just haven't tried yet. I just rebuild engine new Pistons, rods, bearings, heads done at a shop, exc. so everything is back on now but the cam belt adjuster was taken off, and I have messed with the tps. I know my timing is off a bit "sensor" wise just because I can't get her to idle at 650 to adjust properly. Could The cam belt be off a tooth, vac leak? Any input welcomed

Sorry for such a basic question but what is the stock power output of my '91 manual TT? I've always thought it was 280bhp but just checked as I'm doing a modified vehicle report for the insurance company and have read 300bhp a few times so guessing it varies by year? Thanks

Been for sale for a while now and not sure if it was posted here before but this is a rare UK 300zx with low miles and ultra rare colour. (yes they did have a yellow UK 300zx) Colour looks odd in pictures so I hope its not a respray. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1992-NISSAN-300-ZX-3-0-TARGA-TURBO-2D-AUTO-280-BHP-/272254129787?hash=item3f639c567b:g:dKkAAOSwBPNXRctw

Hey, doing a lot of work at the front replacing power steering pump/120k service/engine coolant radiator etc. It's an auto (1990 TT) thats had the air con removed, with auto box pipes routed to the air con radiator, and a manual engine radiator. Got some nasty oil leaks from just about every metal pipe going to the radiators, mostly the power steering, and engine oil pipes. Access is okay since just about everything is out, happy to make my own pipes for the short power steering connection. Just wondering what's the easiest option from people's experience? New ready to order pipes? Make my own pipes? And if so, what size/grade? Any advice appreciated, …
