Hello all. I am likely buying one of these from Z1 this week. https://conceptzperformance.com/z1-key-cylinder-door-lock-actuator-replacement-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-z1-80550_p_8365.php The postage is the same price as the part so I was wondering if anyone else was interested in having one shipped over at the same time to split the postage costs? sorry if this is not the right place for this. regards, William.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a second opinion... So bought my zed, had a few issues to sort out namely the pas lines but it's been a good reliable car, the engine and turbo's are spot on.. However last week I go to pull off and I had to have it at high revs to even pull off. It won't shift past second gear neither manually or automatically. I've changed the fluid, I've done the A/T diagnostic test and no faults are being found... TBH I had a similar problem on my Aristo and it turned out to be a faulty speedo converter that was limiting the revs, that seemed like the clutch was slipping too, now my car is still in KMH so it obviously doesn't have a converter bu…

The title might seem like an odd question, but bear with me. :) At the Coventry AGM this year, everyone was walking around with sheets of paper and pens, marking down the Zed that they felt topped out in each individual category. I got talking to quite a few people and a few of them asked me the same question: "What about Gary's car?" Maybe it's just me but, when I think of a really clean and incredibly tidy Zed, I'll think of Si's car. Or Joel's. Or Dougal's. Or AndrewG's. I suppose they're the "obvious" examples. But Gaz's Zed always seems to fly under the radar, at least in my opinion. And I think I know why... He doesn't promote it. You have …

***Update*** - a rusty hole found near a structural part of the chassis!!.... This does not look good. doesn't seem to go all the way yet but this can't be good. Seems to have started where the arch lining was bolted to the chassis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNf3yOxLi90&feature=youtu.be Hello so i have developed a loud creaking on the passenger side suspension. It is either the top mount on the shock, or the control arm... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8t4YYchmPw&feature=youtu.be I have lubed up the arm with white lithium grease, and also undone the front of the arm, added grease and done it back up to no avail.. Any th…

I have a strange issue. My seat belt light works in reverse - as in when I plug my belt in the light turns on. Anyone had this issue or heard of it ? The seats are originally from a 92 UK heated and the zed is a 1996 Jap. The plugs on the seats are 6 pin to account for the heating elements so I've had to change the plugs but I've changed them by popping the blades out rather than cutting and the order i'm using worked on my last zed. Anyone know how to fix this ?

I've decided to go back to a dry air filter so wondering how a single A'PEXi power intake compares to dual stock filters. How would these options compare in terms of air flow and filtration? Also air temperature - I presume stock might be colder due to being enclosed in the air box, but with the position so far in front of the engine it probably doesn't make much difference? Still not planning on any other modifications so proper function and not ****ing the MAF are most important!

Just compression tested my tt and got average of 133psi on 5 cylinders got 50psi on cylinder 6, is 133 good for one of these engines? Whats the most likely cause for 6 to be less than half of the others?

UK Zed for £20k! I'm not bashing it or saying it's explicitly not worth it... but that's a helluva price.... Their sales pitch is a little odd though:

I have bought a kit from z1 which converts standard hks blow off valves into recircs. Z1 also provided a replacement hose kit. The hoses are different to the standard ones and I do not know how they fit up. Rather than spending hours trying to figure out the pipework I thought I would ask if anyone has a picture or diagram that will help me . Also. How the heck do I reach the clip holding the lower short pipe in place.

Now I've seen some interesting car adverts, including 'hicast self levelling steering' and 'dumb valves' to name a few personal favourites. This, however, is something rather special... Just going to leave this here... https://www.gumtree.com/p/nissan/300zx-twin-turbo-cat-tribute-/1186887643

Trying to make sure my ecu timing and cas timing are the same. So got myself a timing light. Tested it on an old guys Triumph that lives nearby and it works a treat. I've seen a few different ways you use it with a coil pack system. One way you rested the induction head on the coil pack, didn't work. The other way, you remove coil pack, I then used a spare ht lead I had, attached an end to the plug, the other to the coil pack. The car starts and runs on all cylinders, but once I connect the inductive clamp to the lead, still nothing lighting. Can anyone help?

Who has HIDS, wattage, kit used and price, how long has it been in your car? What is a good HID 5000w kit? Where did you guys install the ballast since the engine gets hot? Any pics? I know it's an old topic but I'm curious. Some are saying to use LED kits but is it a difference and is it worth it? Regards Ikon

Has anyone got any recommendations for cleaning the OEM intake pipes...? I'd like to get them looking nice and fresh again and don't want to inadvertently use something that will degrade the material! Si and Joel, I'm sure you guys have some tips... ;)

Had a thought about turbo failure that I think may be interesting to discuss, we all have read the painful tales of woe here when your favourite toy starts smoking and the dreaded turbo failure hits you in the pocket. Having been around scene since it started I have read hundreds of such failures and yes in the early days they were mostly standard turbo`s on cars approaching say 100k miles and many having been subject to sketchy or careless servicing by previous owner`s. As the scene has taken its lead from the US many, many big build engines or just turbo changes have now been less likely to be rebuilt standard units but upgrades or hybrids from the US and suc…
