Just got fault code 20 from the ECU? any ideas what that is?

Hi got a DIY cable and different software. can connect when ign on and see the data e.g. tps,battery voltage and fault codes etc etc but when i start the vehiclen they all freeze?? this happens on all the software? Any advise why this happens?

Ok I've established it's not the coil pack or the plug, as i've swapped them both. Any idea what is causing this. It started out intermittent but it's now not firing at all. Looking from the front it's the middle cylinder, right bank

Can anyone help me out with stripped interior pics of a 2+2 if you have gutted the car and still have front seats in that would be still be helpful. I need some of around the front where the dash sits on the edges. behind the where the front seats sit of the floor. the rear around top of the shocks and on top of the arches with no trims fitted. and a pic of the rear where the rear seats would be but with them removed. Hi Guys, I've seen some EGR pipework to plenum blanking plates online somewhere but I can't seem to find them now I want to buy some. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I cut and solderedthe stubs of my old pipes but I'm not convinced I've done an airtight job. As an aside, I've sealed up some leaks in my intercooler pipework (FMIC), there is now a distinct sound like an asthmatic inhaling deeply immediately after turning the ignition off, it comes from the centre of the plenum area (i.e. the cylinder intakes). I'm surprised to hear this from this location, bit suspicious there may be a leak at the plenum mating surface. Anyone noticed a sim…

Hi all, what could cause rough running/misfire up till 2500rpms? engine idles and revs with a misfire untill 2500rpm then after that is nice and smooth? does any controller turn off after 2500rpm? Regards Andy

have been using the apexi bovs for a while now and have noticed how harsh and jerky they are when your flat out in 3rd or 4th and lift off and floor it again, never got this with the recuircs :smash: could it be i need to adjust the screw in the top of the bovs?? if so do i make them tighter i.e screw in or eisier to dump screw out? any help greatly appreceated :duffer:

As the title please, which spark plugs do you use? I can find the following listed via different sites so wondered what other input I can get from you all. PFR5B-11 PFR6G-11 PFR6B-11 Plus other numbers for iridium / v power etc, only interested in the NA so please dont clutter it up with turbo versions. :D

car WONT idle at the mo. im thinking theres a vacuum leak somewhere, going to do a test onit this week. just checking that this wont cause any problems tho, the 2 hoses that go to the EGR solenoid, ive removed & blocked off (at both ends) reason was, one of the pipes went to nowhere (on the side of engine, but nothing attached to) and i needed some hose for the washer jets, so cut & blocked the other off. no problems by doing this? if not theres a vac leak i presume as WONT idle on its own, needs blip on the trottle

Spotted bright yellow 2+2 travelling out of Melksham towards Beanacre just going through traffic lights by Mc Donalds at 15.45. Very nice looking and sounded fantastic. I was travelling into Melksham on other side of traffic lights in by lowered Audi Cabriolet flashed when spotted you but no response although you did look over.

Right, did ECU test and found passanger side (left) sensor needs replacing. Ordered and arrived but how in the hell do you get it out, i've tried with crowsfeet, long socket, various extension bars and elbows(all with battery removed) but it still has not budged. There are 2 tubes going into bulkhead i think are for the heater matrix, is it ok to remove these or do they hold water??? think job would be a lot easier with these off Or if anyone near newcastle fancy giving me a hand, i'd welcome that too;)

I know Spunky Hifi is going to hate it but does anyone know what this is? I'm running an oil cooler under my nose panel and chevy engines run HOT so need as much cold air to go through it as possible and this would be ideal:

I've just discovered the rad system isn't holding water/pressure too well! I went to fill the system up and it was like a bottomless pit, I tried filling the expansion tank neck on the R/H side of the bay which did seem to drop water. Filling the rad seems to go on forever and there seems to be no-where dripping when filled from this point??? I'm guessing the right hand tank can't be pressurised, so therefore that leak is a separate issue? GAHHHH!!!

If you are can you let me know, possibly buying a set of wheels and want them bringing to JAE :) Will cover any out of pocket expenses and a beer on me ;) If you can let me know Cheers Mike

Can someone name some jap part import sites. Im after some rare parts. tried the a few i know of without much luck. They are taking too long to calculate shipping costs of shipping time is too low and others dont reply to emails.
