The speed sensor is from a UK TT Manual and with the sensor out, held in a vice and the cog turned as fast as possible by passing a rope around it a multi meter showed 0.1-0.2 volt. My questions; what should the reading be?Is there another way to test it ? + how do you disemble it to inpect it ? Cheers Rich

Looking into zed ownership again :D Now this time i wont have the funds to throw money at it and tune its t1ts off so will be keeping it a stage 1 zed and enjoying it. So question, do i just keep it and make it look nicer ie wheels etc or do i strip its arse off as much as i can to make it as light as possible and track it? One thing i never ended up doing was either tracking or dragging any of my zeds :( always had the intention of doing it but was always breaking them or building them further LOL The other questions is am i mad?? is zed ownership again for the 6th time a stupid idea

I kind of need a bit of advice, from someone in the 'Know How'.... Any one on here fancy a chat about something driving related? :nono: By the way, I am completely innocent, wasn't in my Zed, was in a 1.0 Micra! Thing is, the L.A.P.D. (the FEDS) aren't seeing like that, so I'm after a bit of advice........... Free half hour consultation? Tudor...

after my suspension tuning ive noticed that i get a fair bit of scrubbage (esp. on the nearside front) when i travel over even slight bumps at speed. Chris (the suspension chap) and myself identified the main culprit as being the small rectangular bit of plastic near the top of the inner arch which houses one of the arch screws. the problem is mainly from this one side as we also identified that my (far from genuine) bumper is very slightly closer to the tyre on the nearside than it is on the offside. ive done a bit of research into arch rolling, but even though its only the inner arch im interested in, being a fibreglass bumper im worried about damage being don…

A momentary loss of concentration and wham! take a look at the photo's below and you have to feel for the owner, don't know the full details yet but can see this zed has had some serious money spent previously and now the ins. co. are playing Silly Billy's sadly the damage is extensive, the corner has been pushed back and down, the inner wing is creased all the way to the bulkhead, unfortunately previous repairs to the chassis leg are evident in photo 6, photo 1 shows an alarming difference in the steering track! IF ( ? ) this becomes a rebuild project will document it and the post it up if enough interest. Jeff TT

I picked my Z up from Z-world this morning following a cam belt change; new a/c condenser & re-gas; oil & filter change; new horn; new oil pressure sender unit and a quick ConZult...... .......Well all I can say is that Jeff & co have the magic touch on Zs - the car seemed smoother and quicker during the 100+ mile drive home!! Thanks buddy - and for the lift from the station; not to mention squeezing my car in before my hols AND finishing it early!! Richard:)

well, i had a sheet of ally lying around so i thought i would make up a slam pannel. thanks to Wendy for the loan of his carbon pannels, i was able to make up a card board template... then draw the shape and cut it out, Topless gave me an idea about covering the top of the rad so, i left the center for such purpose... bending the ally was the trickyest as i dont have a line bender but, with a few carefully chosen lumps of wood and a handfull of G clamps, i managed it... just a little bit of filing and making good and its ready for fitting...

As ive been trying to get my diag software to work i removed the ecu to reconnect plug and check pins. but while removing i noticed that the ecu looks like its been messed with. i took some pics to show you. it also hasnt got a diag switch on the side looks like its missing. the screws on the ecu to hold the cover on have been moved aswell. didnt open it up tho. do you think it could be faulty. had on going misfire issues and when i connect the diag software the data is very jumpy like its getting an intermittent signal.

Just had a fuel pressure test done and its reading 35psi on idle and 50psi when accelerated, I know it should be 43 psi on idle. Before it goes on the RR, would it be a good idea to upgrade the fuel pump? Would I need to upgrade the fuel regulator to an adjustable one?
