My Zed currently has a Pioneer Carrozzeria fitted, comprising 2 units: DEH-P500 (CD Player) KDS-P500 (Cassette) One of the 2 also seems to includes a pretty powerful amplifier. The unit is clearly at least 10 years old (or older), Japanese spec and was probably a very high end unit when fitted. I've been trying to figure out all of the features but am struggling and need to get hold of the user manual. I've looked everywhere on the net but no luck. Normally I would have just replaced it but as it seems to be a very high quality unit, I want to try and keep it if possible. Any ideas?

My 1989 SWB import has always been a b.... to insure as far as the insurance companies were concerned...two heads, spawn of satan and not a UK car 1990 on, so not on their dropdowns so doesn't exist! And Adrian Flux was as bad! Two years ago I went through Endsleigh and got Norwich Union Fully Comp with £400 excesses @ £262.30 after a lot of aggro and talking to their new business manager directly. Last year they wanted to double it but settled @ £290 after argument. So, imagine my surprise when the renewal came through this morning @ £179.00 with £100 excesses... no brainer, accepted straightaway! Hope that gives someone hope! :hyper: Da…

Just wondering how much they actually weigh. I've replaced my drivers door with the one from my S1. the series 2 door has a hefty lump of metal in it, which I'm assuming is side impact protection. The door minus all trim, glass, window reg and motor feels about the same weight as the S1 does fully loaded. So if you've got a S2 and want to save weight, change the doors for S1's.

I've just started work on getting it though an MOT, needs a bit of welding:( I am Looking to sell/swap to get a small diesel van. how much do you reacon I'll get for it? Its scruffy looking but the engine and manual gear box is spot on. How much would I get for it with/without an MOT? It has a red front bumper and the sills will be different colours. I can also replace other body panels to get rid of the dents but will be silver.

I bought an HID kit for my blue Zed...... ......I chose a 4300k set-up; I wanted function over appearance. The 4300k is more pure white than the blue of a 6000k kit. Now the OEM lights were not too bad but oh boy are the HIDs bright in comparison:bow: I took a couple of phone pics - now bring on the dark nights (not that I use the Z that much at night; but at least I can now) Oh yes, and that thin metal strip inside the lower part of the front bumper - well I removed the surface rust you can see in the pics and coated it in black Hammerite;) Richard:cool:

Can't post in sales as not subscribed and it's free to a good home anyway as moving soon, way too much stuff and just want to get rid. HKS 3106-S N010 Single exit (RHS from memory but could be wrong), two piece, two box, cat back system with removable tail pipe baffle. Rear box and 4 1/2 inch tailpipe are stainless. Came off my NA about seven years ago as I preferred the balanced Mongoose look (probably a little loud for an old got like me too!). Solid but filthy as thrown in the garage straight off the car. Mild steel parts have very little surface rust and stainless parts would polish up really well. Can probably find gasket and bolts if I look hard. …

Sorry if this is obvious elsewhere on the site, still finding my way around. thanks chaps. [/img]

Guys, I would like to install a new setup into the Z very soon and am looking for some expert help. I have got a double din centre console panel so will be needing a screen to suit as well as the following. 1. The system has to be discreet - i dont want a massive bassbox that fills the entire boot! 2. I would like a system that could run diagnostics through it and perhaps display oil/water temperatures etc as well on the screen. I do not want to fill the car with gauges so would prefer it to be on screen. Any ideas?
