  1. Boost is not controlled by the ECU but a restricted speed is easy to do. Might do one myself and keep it in the glovebox for when I leave it for an MOT etc LOL
  2. You must have let yourself go since I last saw ya! :x:
  3. How do you work that out? They DO sell sell for silly amounts as in the post above.
  4. Yep it's just air bubbles. Should be gone by morning :)
  5. Why bother if you don't use the power? All you'll do is make it less reliable in the long run.
  6. Didn't know we were celebrating your birthday at the weekend! Explains why it got so silly ;) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
  7. It was like a Nissan authorised special edition from a respected tuner so it's a real collectors car ;) I think Stillen did something similar but forgotten the name...
  8. I think you'll find it costs the same and gives you massive lag for your efforts - that's why it's only ever been done once or twice before LOL When you can get 500+bhp with 2 smaller turbos why bother? Especially if you mainly drive round town
  9. How does he manage to hit this barrier with all that space? :slap: LOL  http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6500867.stm That's going to be expensive
  10. This was on the other week and we had lots of interesting suggestions :D ;) LOL
  11. Have you had a look at the online manual? http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=efec&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=71&design=default&total=190 http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=efec&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=178&design=default&total=190 Just 3 bolts for the CAS then it should slide out. Might just have got corroded round the edges or something...
  12. Class! :D
  13. The CAS often fails and still activates the pump but the rotation doesn't switch the injectors so it could well be the CAS. No spark = PTU or CAS and you've changed the PTU ;) You HAVE to take the CAS off and rotate the spindle and see if you can hear the injectors click. Could be ECU but they're reliable so highly unlikely and if the ECU dies the fan is permanently on and you couldn't do the diags. Fuel temp sensor won't put it in safety mode, only the knock sensor does that. Also before water is up to temp or the water sensor is disconnected. I've not wired in an AVCR but I presume it connects to the ECU wiring so just because it is seeing a signal doesn't mean the other parts of the system are...
  14. Fuel temp sensor is only used for warm starting I think and certainly wouldn't give you this problem. I drove around for months until I found a garage had disconnected mine. You keep saying you're sure the CAS is OK but you haven't actually tested it by the sound of things and it's one of the only possible causes. Faulty ECU is very rare and they are the only items in the chain: ECU --> CAS --> PTU --> Plugs ECU --> CAS --> Injectors
  15. If you boot it the box goes into power mode automatically until you lift off anyway. It also disconnects the aircon for a little extra boost of power. Bet you didn't know that ;)
  16. Mr VVL on here has one in Trinidad but he's pulling it to bits :( LOL
  17. Well one of the guys on there mentions autoland correcting the landing like you described but then another says it's different on the Boeings: "The 777 and 747 have dynamic undercarriage, which in laymans terms is a computer connection between a yaw indicator and the directional controll of the main undercarriage... yes... you read correctly... the undercarriage steers and the main oleos angle towards the direction of the approaching tarmac. Amazing isn't it... Doesn't make these pilots any less heroes for pulling it off... but the technology sure does help." It says on the old B52's you could steer the wheels manually from the cockpit as they were too sluggish to correct at the last minute. It's probably like this forum though - most of the replies are BS! LOL Those vids are all FAA tests for maximum crosswind landings to stress the undercarriage and the aircraft are all in Boeing test colours so luckily no passengers aboard! LOL Wish I had bigger wings on my Z, I've flown a Cessna once or twice :D
  18. Don't see the point of reg plates with the car model in em - you usually have a badge on the back telling people what it is LOL No use once you sold the car. Don't forget you can use any older plate on your car so A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H or J plates etc
  19. LOL I knew I'd get it the wrong way round! Cut the wires then... I'm sure I read you can do it like that just to turn the light off.
  20. Yeah but I used a bit of shielded multi-core cable so there's only the chip left unprotected although it's mounted in a small black plastic box so nobody knows what it is ;) Means I can easily test any chip in seconds without lifting the "floor boards" LOL
  21. Connector is for a heated/electric passenger seat I think.
  22. When I bought my car with a warranty and had HICAS problems the garage "fixed" it by removing the bulb! Took it back the next day and went mental and pointed out the missing bulb - their answer: "It's just a coincidence, we fixed the fault but the bulb must have dropped out when we were working on the wiring under the dash" :mac1:
  23. I made a more basic version by soldering wires from the chip socket and running them into the glove box to a ZIF socket so I can just pop a new chip in whenever I like.

You can remove them. They stiffen up the suspension if you put the handbrake on 1 click but pretty useless really. I think some markets had a switch to set them. Won't they go back on after the brace is fitted?
  25. Terrible news mate :( Don't know what I can say really. This happened to some friends of mine too and I know how hard it was for them  Give the Mrs lots of hugs.
