  1. Probably the same ones Smithy does: http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/susp.php These are the only ones I've ever seen TBH.
  2. Yeah I was thinking that and it's cheaper too LOL How easy is it to remove all the pipes from under the car? Might as well bin them if I can get to them.
  3. That's how I was thinking of doing it, only by cutting both ends off and using a metal tube to join the pipes. Cutting the head off makes it soooo much easier! Cheers :) I just found a full HICAS removal write-up on Z1 Motorsports site: http://www.z1motorsports.com/imageGallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album248 They do the pipe join with a threaded metal barrel so the pipes just screw together when taken off the solenoid and it's supplied with their eliminator bar :)
  4. What method have you used to bypass the HICAS pump/solenoid so it can be stripped out after fitting an eliminator bar? Is it possible to just cut the 2 pipes and join them or isn't there enough length?
  5. I'm sure he was referring to the fact that you can buy a crap condition 2+2 for £2K and his is a rarer Slicktop so will be worth more. I don't think he was saying 2+2's are shite! LOL
  6. Add that to the clutch, I'll have it ;)
  7. You've got a one-off brake setup there so nobody will have a clue LOL Just try ringing all the usual brake specialists but I bet you won't get change from £500 for those disks and could easily spend £750 ish :o
  8. Yes I think one of the guys got a 185mph ticket in Belgium on the way home :D LOL
  9. We had a group trip over to the Nurburgring last year and I think there's one already planned for soon in the Events section ;)

Shell Optimax is generally regarded as the best available for these cars but any super unleaded will do. If I'm on a long drive down the motorway and not thrashing it I often put standard unleaded in to save some cash. Injector cleaners are fine.
  11. No you start thanking the lord for being so lucky! Sounds like the starter sticking again so take it back.
  12. Probably has the metal pipes in areas where it gets very hot and rubber pipe would perish? I've replaced some on mine but keeping an eye on it long term.
  13. I've got dozens of CD's I stupidly ripped to WMA format a few years ago and want them in MP3 format. Does anyone know of a free convertor that can do a batch of files in one go? I've downloaded a couple of apps but they are either demo's that only do one or 2 at a time or they have problems converting for various reasons - DRM protected files etc  Might be easier to re-rip them all one day when I'm bored.
  14. I think you'll find they're silly money wherever you go ;) LOL
  15. I heard this was just for new cars so won't affect us.
  16. OK I've fixed it. Seems to be the way Firefox checks for updated pages and updates the cache. If you want to change it yourself here's how... In the address bar type: about:config In the Filter box type: browser.cache.check_doc_frequency You should see the entry listed below with a value of 3 (Check for updates when page is estimated to be out of date) Right click on it and select Modify. Change the value to 1 (Check for updates every time the page is visited)
  17. Well I AM an IT guru LOL! I've just tested it again and Internet Explorer 7 works fine, it's just on Firefox. Refreshing the page doesn't work and I've switched off my Firewall so it's not that either  Are there any cache settings in Firefox? I can't find them.
  18. Here you go :) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=87988&highlight=single+BOV
  19. I've noticed recently that threads I post on are showing as having new posts but when I go back to them I find I was the last one to reply and there's nothing new :mac1: Anyone else getting this? I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.2 and ZoneAlarm firewall.
  20. There's a lot of work needed to fit 1 valve. Cheaper to just buy a pair of Turbo XS Type H-RFL ones with the fitting kit and they're the loudest you can get. If you do a search I posted up some info on this before.
  21. I think he's out in the Caribean or somewhere mate - and that engine is in New York... ;)
  22. Just take the beer goggles off mate :D  I've considered it as I don't get on with the kind of contact lenses I need (they move about and blur) but my vision with glasses is superb so haven't bothered. More cash fot the Z that way LOL
  23. Never heard of anyone having it done. Are you sure it's not your prop centre bearing thats gone? That's the usual cause of vibration.
  24. I'd report them if they tried anything like that :o
  25. It goes to all sorts of stuff really. Won't be an easy job to remove.
