ultimate car wash?
I think the 2rd post says it all: "clearly a complete tit with too much time on his hands. Its an astra FFS!" A good title would be: "How to spend a week of your time and thousands of pounds making a brand new car look slightly more shiney than it was already" It will be covered in shit in days and look like every other Ashtray VXR on the road LOL

Malfunctioning electric windows
There is a small black control box in the drivers door that often gets dry solder joints and causes problems intermitantly. Might just need going over with a soldering iron :)

looking for help
They don't like cars being imported as it undercuts the stupid prices we pay above the rest of Europe for new cars and making it harder to buy spares supports this. They can't be bothered looking up parts for none UK cars and don't accept returns on incorrectly supplied parts they have had to order in. I can go in to buy a part that is the same worldwide and they insist on a UK chassis number before they will look it up! I just give them someone elses number if they ask LOL

Happy Birthday fairladyzgirl
Happy birthday! Still looking good for 40 Sarah! :D

Subframe swap?
You can use the NA subframe with NA diff to lower the ratio and get better accelleration and at the same time eliminate all the HICAS stuff as the NA subframe doesn't have HICAS. You can still use the NA diff with TT subframe though.

some people have all the luck
Reminds me of the Belgium/Kings Of Europe trip when a Bentley GT came up behind us on the motorway and flashed our Z's to get out the way. We let him past then Greg went after him and kicked his arse. He didn't look too happy as a big line of 15 year old Z's passed him at 160 ish :D LOL That interior is just minging and they look pretty boring for a car of that price IMO Can think of much nicer cars to spend my money on.

In Car 956 DVD
Well I had an Aussie world champion driver take me round in my Z in about 8.5 mins (timed on my watch and at least a minute faster than me) and I was s******g my pants so I can't imagine what a 6.5 min lap is like.

Sat Nav
I've got the previous model to this Navman F20 Europe and been very impressed. http://www.navman.com/Navman/Templates/productinformation____68788.aspx http://www.amazon.co.uk/Navman-F20-Car-Satellite-Navigation/dp/B000MVYC8I/ref=pd_sbs_ce_5/202-2670422-7764640 For £164 with full European maps it's a bargain. One feature it has which TomTom etc don't have is dedicated buttons to take you to the nearest petrol stations and car parks - great when you're in a strange town and don't know where things are :) Rechargeable so you can carry it in your pocket from car to car or just stick the cradle to your windscreen and plug it in the lighter socket for longer trips.

Subframe swap?
Anyone got a spare TT subframe? Can buy or give you my old one in exchange after the swap.

MPG stock vs "chiped"
70 is one of those speeds I never drive at. It's either 60 ish on an A road or 120 on the motorway  Chipping with one of the decent name chips should actually improve economy slightly but as you generally increase the boost there's more power to be had when you boot it = more fuel used than stock. On a long run it will be just the same.

Useful Info - Re Brembo upgrade brakes
He's talking shit that's why! They are off an R32 GT-R or R33 GT-S or a Z. Certainly not Brembo and not R34. Just sent him a message explaining the error of his ways ;) Aren't stock Z calipers Sumitomo or something like that? Must get my old stock calipers cleaned up and sold. Will keep an eye on what they go for :)

Subframe swap?
Thinking of getting a replacement subframe ready to fit with new bushes etc. How much work is it to actually swap the subframe? Remove exhausts, prop, diff, HICAS - what else?
