Hi can anyone help??

I have just purshased a 300zx ( none turbo) 2x2 1994-95 jap spec.

Having no service history with it I have just had the cam belt replaced at 53746 miles.

I need to have the Air Con Belt - Alterator belt - PAS belt replaced also, I have searched my local parts shop and they can't help, not even Nissan are willing to help me source these parts I also need a full set of brake pads.

Is there a special parts shop out there or an online shop where i can get these parts ??

I would be grateful for any help in locating the above.

Kindest regards

Gez fhl

Thanks Paul rang them up but they were busy I'll try again later.

cheers Gez ;)

What is it with Nissan over there? Why don't they sell you parts for Jap specs when they're all the same?

They don't like cars being imported as it undercuts the stupid prices we pay above the rest of Europe for new cars and making it harder to buy spares supports this.

They can't be bothered looking up parts for none UK cars and don't accept returns on incorrectly supplied parts they have had to order in.

I can go in to buy a part that is the same worldwide and they insist on a UK chassis number before they will look it up!

I just give them someone elses number if they ask LOL

Sounds like a lot of BS. Business is business, why turn it away? They (all Japanese brands) were like that over here when the imports first started but soon changed thier minds with the pressure they got from customers.

Cars like the 300 and r32-r34 skylines were never sold in NZ as a generally stocked item as far as I'm aware. Nissan are a bit retentive and conservative over here. They are selling the 350Z though. Anything with an ounce of performance seems to be frowned upon.

The UK and Australia seem to go all out though which is good to see. I loved watching the Skylines go around Bathurst in Aus. They had to carry more weight and then they limited this and that and they were still d1cking the V8's (until they banned turbo's). Bunch of pussies.

I like the "other person" chassis number idea :)

Well enough rambling, I had better get some sleep since it's 3:30 in the morning and I have to get up for work at 6:30. Night all

Toyota seems to have woken up and addressed the problem, Nissan don't seem to be interested though, I suspect there is some daft litigation orientated answer behind the scenes somewhere.
