  1. Does anybody want me to bring any easy removable parts?
  2. She's home, if only she knew what was coming. We found out the hard way that there was no power steering
  3. It will hold the power fine, and the mechanicals of the gearboxes are the same. If you have a TT diff, i believe you need a tt manual prop (lwb or swb). As ive been corrected earlier, the transmissions (tt or na) are the same length. You don't need to get the engine out. I don't know about the cooler. Here is a guide you can use.
  4. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?183453-Upload-images-for-Non-Subscribed-members Good luck on the MOT
  5. Everything for sale apart from: NA power steering pump NA rear subframe NA manual gearbox + prop Interior NA engine Rear suspention Front left brake caliper NA steering rack (provisionally reserved) MAF (reserved) Brief sale list Body completely shot pretty much all over. Doors, tailgate, targas, wings all rusty. Bonnet looks in good shape but terrible paint Rear custom strosek bumper in reasonable condition, front completely shot. Radiator good no leaks Might sell the MOMO Millennium steering wheel Wheels I can sell Exhaust sounds nice but is very loud and quite rusty. 2.5" piping What does anyone want open to offers. Preferably collection but can post smaller items.
  6. Zed's on its way today. I guess I'll set up a breaking thread so see what parts I won't put into storage.
  7. This might be a dumb question, but if you pull the cables through and remove the grommet, won't i have a hole in my floor?
  8. I can see your point but you're ignoring everyone trying to correct you by claiming that 'it's 26 years old and mine still works.' series 1 may well be less reliable than s2 but because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean that it's not the case. Same as I can't claim that because my one failed that they are shite and need to be replaced. This all sparked from someone having intermittent problems with spark and misfires and what have you, which I suggested was a ptu because thats what happened to me and the S1 are supposedly not as robust as the S2. Of course old stuff can break and I'm sure some s2s do fail, but I'm not trying to convince people that they should change to S2, I didn't change to series 2 when mine broke and I dont intend to. But just stop blaming it on old parts and dismissing others because you have a 'hunch' It was because they kept breaking :pinch: Not having a go, you just seem to be trying to dismiss the problem.
  9. So can somebody tell us IF series 1 have inferior design and prone to fail MORE SO than the S2. Most places say series 1 are prone to internal connection failure, perhaps because of heat or because they are fragile. I know they do the same thing but are the internals the same. I'm not trying to claim that S1 always break, but if there is some truth to the myth. My series 1 had internal connection failure so in a way that convinced me (as well as reading stuff inline and being told by people) that they were an inferior design and the problem doesn't happen with s2s.
  10. Very hard to see as I tucked them away, but it goes to a cat temp sensor which plugs into the rear of the cat. I fitted decats so they are no longer in use. Also your car might also have Aiv hoses which go into the exhaust to 'cheat' emissions, but they can be removed also if you don't have cats. If you still have the cats, probably easiest to leave it how it is.
  11. Years are no problem, the years all share the same tailgates. That is a swb but I haven't really seen any problems fitting a lwb spoiler to a swb. The one you are looking at is the oem 89spec however there are a ton of replicas around so be careful about fitment with them. Oh and that one has bolts that bolt into the tailgate.
  12. I don't know if those elbows have a cat in them, they just look like jap down pipe elbows to me that mate up to the 90* cat pipes.
  13. Hole in a braided line or split hose? New hose on fixed right... with zeds its never that easy.
  14. Lets not forget RustySi's steering wheel.
  15. Lol, you can stare at all the photos then. Bringing a gopro also
