6 bay + MOT & 4 wheel alignment bay  seriously tho, apart from routine maintenance & mods that anyone could have done, it hasnt let me down apart from a PTU failure (which i repaired the same day until the replacement turned up from courtesy). that was the point i was making. it has been very reliable :)

done 20k+ miles in my TT with only a PTU failure. its modded with 16psi & a daily driver........................ what were the benefits on a N/A again?!?! :D
  6. have a read: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=33691
  7. [pedant mode]the fuel/air mix doesnt "explode", it burns & rapidly expands![/pedant mode]
  8. if you look in the manual, there are continuity checks you can do on the PTU itself :)
  9. not the good old air mass sensor is it? this can cause the car to feel extremely "flat" with lack of power
  10. also could be the idle control valve at the rear of the plenum. mine used to do this until i removed & cleaned it (careful as there are small springs in there ;)) i would try (in order) disconnect the battery for 30 mins+ to reset the ecu while cleaning the throttle bodies with carb cleaner. clean the connectors on the temp sensor & TPS check TPS voltage reading & temp sensor resistance - replace if ness remove strip & clean the idle control valve
  11. funny smell?? could it be a clown fart?? :D
  12. oil feed pipe is under pressure, so would piss out with oil if it wasnt tight enough
  13. you need the solenoids connected to get the higher 9.5 psi boost level. the solenoids need to be powered up to raise the level. you could try the good old resistor trick to confirm, but it sounds like your gonna need a new det sensor/harness :(
  14. shame about the weather, but nice day all the same :) feel free to use the piccies in your write up mate :)
  15. not of the pink shoes mate, but i have some of the cars & planes
  16. sounds like safety boost (7psi), did you get code 34??
  17. Yup, or more specifically: swept volume + combustion chamber volume / combustion chamber volume = copmression ratio
  18. ps - it isnt "flammable" either :D
  19. my point was if you inject nitrous into the exhaust, then not a lot is gonna happen, theres no (very little) fuel for the nitrous to help burn! which is what nitrous does - it helps support combustion (in the form of the O2 molecules) when fuel is present
  20. look, IM the daddy around here, & dont you forget it (got the trophy to prove it :D, even has our new club sec's name engraved on it - King Dick!! )
