no, but as long as youve got a chip with knock maps, it will at least retard the timing. take that boost controller off & get some boost jets! :D

i agree, if you are going to change it then fit it in the intended place. i dont think that it would pickup other noises such as valvetrain as it is quite specific of the frequency of sound that triggers it. it may however just not pick it up at all. more importantly, make sure it is done up to the correct torque, as this most definatley affects the frequency that it detects ;)

i think it was 95/96 that they changed. mine is a UK 93 with a jwt chip in

sounds like det. if it is, switch off then back on again & you should be out of safety boost. what fuel you using? dont forget you wont get any codes if its just detected det ;)

last time we was in florida we was looking at property & to move out there. i will do it one day. the property is silly cheap for the standard that you get (tho most florida homes are "open plan"). they generally pay better wages, there taxes are lower & everything is cheaper than over here. why am i still here again?? :confused:

it restricts the amount of pressure going to the wastegate. the smaller the jet, the more pressure the turbo has to generate to open the wastegates ;)
