  1. beleive you are to remove the battery on the passanger side, and the brake master cylinder on the drivers, that supost to help...
  2. did you fit yours after mate? they any good? gonna buy them tomo i think
  3. emissions is 6% on CO level. very rich. the MAF reading is 1.3 (ok i beleive) timing 15 deg (fine) injector pulse 2.27ms injector duty 2.11% IACV 17% the TPS was out, it was 0.80v, now corrected to 0.48v i need to lower the base idle i believe, as its 1125rpm. now then, the o2 sensors. Left 0.65v (on idle) Right 0.34v (on idle) when reved the car to 2000rpm, the reading just stayed there, maybe increased/decreased a little, but its supost to go nuts isnt it? when i lower the base idle, will that lower the voltage, decreasing the CO level? or are the o2 sensors broke?
  4. thanks guys, the injector connections are brand new. ECU shows no errors, so im asuming the water temp sensor is fine (if it was broke, didnt think the car would start, due to flooding) and if the MAF was gone thaught woudnt rev past 2500rpm. car runs fine, will conzult show if theres any errors with these things? or do i have to look at the figures it provides me, and then work out which ones are out?
  5. i scrapped a NA engine few months back. sorry, know thats not the news you wanted, but i mean i dont think they are worth a lot, or theres not a lot of demand for them, so should be cheaper to get :)
  6. emissions are 6.5% on CO (carbom monoxide) it should be under 3.5%. (ive sorted all vac leaks before i coudnt remove a pipe off the balance bar ortherwise would cut out) im suspecting its the Lambda/o2 sensors, but whilst on conzult what else should i be looking for? Im off down AnthonyDs by the way :duffer:
  7. ( incase anyones reading, this is an old thread, i got it sorted with new injector conenctors) :)
  8. cheers ant, if i pop the car down, will you be able to test why im running so rich? (know it tests the o2 sensors) hopefully itl point me int he right direction? you available sat or sunday?
  9. did you get this sorted after? the ECU diagnostics wont tell you if the o2 sensors are in good nick
  10. does the ECU show any error codes? know uv done data scan,
  11. yea its not the money, i just dont wana be barking up the wrong tree thinking its the o2 sensors, when its something else? shall we all vote on what it is/could be?
  12. bumping this thread, garage have checked all pipework, and i have. theyve said could be the o2 sensors, but they dont wana say that for defo? shal i get them and see? i cant think of anything else, as ive checked more or less everything else
  13. ahh so thats what it is! is it Tax or MOT? mine is blue :) i thaught it was something to do with a race, as the number 6 is selected on the sticker. and the car has a number 6 also. will get pics up soon :)
  14. ditching the AIV nice and easy, get rid of the solenoid, all tubing in the engine bay, the metal pipework on the side of the engine, and the actual units, in each wheel arch :)
  15. i think people were refering to buying second hand ones from ebay, lots of people have opinions on non-genuine parts, they do work just as well sometimes.
  16. there is a valve by the battery, like you find on tires. press that to release all the pressure, then you can remove disconect the pipes/copmpressor etc
  17. i work in insurance. question is any convictions in the last 5 years. you could have had 3 DR10 convictions, as long as the conviction date is over 5 years ago, will make no difference in premium.
  18. cheap new ones here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lambda-Sensor-Nissan-200-SX-300ZX-Z32-Infiniti-J30-G20_W0QQitemZ140340731327QQcmdZViewItem my emissions prob was not the o2 sensor tho, its still down the garage, as they say there are some pipes conected wrong/not connected at the back of the engine? going to call them end of week to see if done
  19. always disconect the battery when doing any electrical work, however the PTU terminals are protected. you will need to remove the large intercooler pipe yes, as its in the way iirc
  20. have you got a aftermarket boost gauge? what is it boosting on...
  21. you remove the rubber pipe that goes from the re-circ to the air filter pipe (T piece from the AFM) then you remvoe the re-circ itself, then you put the dv where it used to be.
