best way clean the tweed?
i know the tweed looks pritty disgusting, but looks worse when its stained full of pepsi etc :wack: was thinking of removing the seats (as is only 4 bolts) and steam cleaning them? this a good idea? or is there something easier/better to get rid of the smell/staines :hurl:

SWB or LWB??
i prefer a LWB to the SWB, think the car looks great, large and sporty. i think a short one looks... odd??

how does a 300 do against
sorry, but if i had an auto i wouldnt race anything like an M3, you would need a manaul TT to be ebven thinking about it! im sure a manual TT would keep up with it, the Z would have much more tuning potential i would say, so if yout talking stage 1 mods ona Z i would say it would beat an E36. not sure about the new ones tho :o

Vacuum lines with limiters/jets...
the throtle bodie Vacuums go to the carbon canister on the right. and the AIV on the left. why has someone put the jets in there?

just got a Z32 but its soooo slow
i went from a stage 1 S13 to a Z. i thaught the S13 was a lot more quicker aswell tbh, but my S13 was on 15 PSI, a standard Z does feel a bitbig and slugish in comparison, but you need to do the stage 1 mods to the Z, stage 1 S13 vs stage 1 Z32, the Z is going to be & feel much faster. regardless of the size

easy change o2 sensor?
jsut bracing myself for the worst, if my car doesnt get through the MOT by removing the vacuum pipe on thebalance bar, im going to need new lambda sensors. how easy are they to change? attack from underneath or ontop of the engine? wise to buy second hand?

what do i do??
good advice there :)

I have spare nipples....
if you wana keep pipes nice and simple/clean, you could just T piece from the other re-circ vacuum, so the pipe be hiden under the bumper/nose panel

I have spare nipples....
yes mate makes no difference, as long as it gets a vacuum itl work fine

MOT fail, emmissions. copy of results here
car is de-catted. how can i test the lambda/o2 sensors then? multimeter? what happens if i disconnect them (connections in the engine bay) so will removing a vacuum pipe will bring it down, but that much??
-
radiator
yep. why you ask? planing a conversion or just have broken rad?
-
MOT fail, emmissions. copy of results here
ok. waiting for others who have used to pipe trick to advise what reading they had before they removed the pipe. as its running rich, this will obviously effect my petrol consumption, but much or not? (dont know how picky that reading of 6% effects the running of the car
-
MOT fail, emmissions. copy of results here
read that removing a vacuum pipe from the balance bar reduces it a little, but how much is that going to effect it? im gonna have to give the car a bit of hell i think then take it to the test

removing bumper for tow
is it?
-
radiator
no they are different size! the TT one is smaller than the NA. this is because it fits in between the Intercooler pipes of the TT. but on the NA there obv arnt any Intercoolers

MOT fail, emmissions. copy of results here
Finally put the car for MOT. the engine was last used properly December 08. ive taken the car out once for a 40 minute drive since. heres the emissions results..... how can i resolve this? o2 sensors are gone? or isit the fact that its been off the road for ages, and had a few boost leaks since back together (smoked, but now are all sorted) and just needs a good hard drive to clean itself?
-
wanted advice on NA chip
would it make much difference on a NA machine? ive always looked at it for allowing the extra fuel, for more boost. the boost gives the gains then.

Vacuum lines with limiters/jets...
i can understand why putting them in the actuater pipes, but why the pipes that go to the Throtle bodys? the left/drivers side vacuum from the TB goes to the AIV/EGR and the right/passanger vacuum from the TB goes to the carbon canister?
