  1. bigger discs will require larger calipers yes :)
  2. turbo brakes will go on fine, you will need to have the matching calipers tho
  3. na idle valve is fine. as long as the EGR is fine left alone sill left there, wonder what pipes the garage are refering to then? they defo said thers things disconected/attached wrong? il have to have a chat on the weekend
  4. FC tuning are one of the main mappers that lots of the guys on Driftworks go to. http://fctuning.com/FCTUNING/_.html lots of good reveiews you could go down the route of getting it "chipped" (EP ROM) which is a basic, less custom alteration
  5. didnt know they came with heated mirrors! odd for the UK model to be slightly better? saying that i guess folding mirrors look a bit cooler :)
  6. something like the D-MAX or Koguchi bonnet vent, looks hard,
  7. think its roughly 500 quid, or in that reigon
  8. well i woudnt see it as a problem as such, its jsut the re-cirrcs are trying to put the wasted air back to the intake, and the DVs are trying to vent it outside, sort of battling each other? not sure if bad tho
  9. that thing by the brakes is something seperate, check the solenoids are conected, side of each engine, near the front. then do a ECU diag check, see if any errors
  10. garage called today, emmissions are out because of pipes at the back of engine conencted wrong/going to nowhere only thing i can think of is the EGR. (unless anyone thinks anything else) now the EGR solenoid is removed from the car, and the take-off on the side of the engine is blocked off. but the EGR valve itself is still there on the back of the engine. will this casue a vacuum leak? or will it be re-dundant as there is no solenoid/pipe from the engine going to it
  11. i wish i had a new loom when i did my engine swap, as the looms do get corroded badly. i sorted it with new connecrtors though :)
  12. rob3ot, your is the one which goes to the FPRV. which is fine. there is another similar take-off in front of it, which is for the passanger side re-circ
  13. yea know they are expensive, do you really need a whole new loom? the conenctors do get corroded, but i think it would be cheaper to jsut get new connectors (the injector ones mainly) Zedwizz on here sells them
  14. you dont need a new loom. (unless you just wana replace yours) people will say you need an automatic loom, as your car is an auto. however its only the EFI loom youd be getting, which is the manuals & autos are the same, think they just have 1 or 2 extra bits on the auto. but its fine you just dont plug them in (as u have nowhere to plug them lol) ive done Auto manual conversion, just left my auto loom in there
  15. the ones that go by the bumper are the re-circs, they get removed when you fit DVs. its just easier to replace the re-circs with DVs, rarther than install DVs in the engine bay, aswel as having the re-circs (which you shoudnt do)
  16. there are some diagrams on here that show you all the turbo pipes, the way they should be.
  17. they arnt the EGR valves, they are boost solenoids, which control the boost. if they are broke/not wired correctly, it should still boost on 7 PSI. unless your wastege pipes arnt connected? there are 2 waste gate pipes, 1 each turbo, goes to the IC pipe each side. check that first i would
  18. if you look at the diagram, there are 3 points on the balance bar (the blue lines) any one of these are fine. lots of the stuff can be deleted out of the vacuum system, AIV, EGR, FPRV. when you delete these, you could just plumb your boost gauge to where they used to go.
  19. take your pic mate :) the one on the balance bar is the most common to T into.
  20. not sure about Skyline, but i know the Z gearbox fits an SR20 (200/silvia engine)
  21. only other thing, when un-plugging the TPS, nothing happens. ive tried testing it with a multimeter in the middlle prong, and other end on batery neg, and i cant get a reading to test/adjust it. would the TPS effect emissions?
  22. hmm thanks jeff. ive done boost/vacuum leak check, cleaned the throttles, the car woudnt idle, so i removed the idle valve & cleaned, then adjusted then it idled fine. drives well aswell. i thaught if there was a vac leak it woudnt idle? heres the results of the emmissions.... new o2 sensor would cure this id imagine? i have checked all of the above (apart from timimg, but the car runs fine so i dont think its that?)
  23. i remember when i was 18 and i saw a Z. looked at what it was like inside, and was most dis-apointed how aawful it looked with tweed. now i have one with tweed lol
  24. ok thanks. thaught steam cleaner would bring them back to origonal life :)
