  1. Advan is the only thing that springs to mind. dont think they suit the Z ? personal taste tho. heres my S13 :) Legrath, you have the same??? i did mine myself, as they were just the standard plain silver ones. did you do the same? or did Advan make em that colour out the factory?
  2. i can flat the car, do quick change gear and fine, in first second (& 3rd think) but if im changing gear quick and nail the accelarator, the clutch rides. if i dont drive it so hard, and take my time changing gear/accelarating, its fine. Does this need adjusting? or is it just on its way out?
  3. yea they are top quality :) took a bit of potching cutting away the standard trim etc, and filing here & there but overall looks cool. interior looks more complicated now lol
  4. had 60mm GReddy gauges from my last car, wanted put em in the Z. had to cut a bit of the plastic behind/inside the dash part for it to fit, and angle grind/file bit of the silver plastic. made a cardboard template, sent to this guy, made from 2ml aluminum. (holes cut 61mm for gauges to fit. 52ml gauges would be easier, but i prefer the 60ml ones, bigger the better lol. havent wired em up yet, but they light up green like this... what you think?
  5. i dont really like the aeriel up on the ZX. is there a fuse or something i can remove, so that the signal goes to the actual aerial, but without it shooting up 40 foot in the air? looks much sleeker when its down
  6. Sorted! some monkey had changed the water pump when did the cambelt, but forgot to put a gasket on the water pump!!! sorted now. cost 35 quid for new pump (with gasket) and 70 quid for labour
  7. sorry mate, BONNETT ment to say! buumpers awfull too lol
  8. wheels are nice. maybe even the grill & bumper, rest of it is gash tho :hurl:
  9. what do they look like? are they the red on top & white underneath ones (insted of orange)
  10. thanks il check the electric fan after. dont think its too bigger job. priced a pump, £40 local motor factors.
  11. mechaninc been on the scene.. Water Pump. How much for new one? will a UK 300zx one fit on my JDM Fairlady ?
  12. haha!! ive thaught about it in the Z. S13 was class as pasanger seat went all the way back :D on a serious note, only crap things really is the tweed seats, but leather is easy to replace, and must say looks 1000 times nicer! steering column could do with alteration, only becasue i want to hide my turbo timer wires there! brakes are too small/crap for the mamouth weight of the Z! lol :D
  13. seemed to be coming from the drivers side more than the passenger side. released the radiater cap, expecting loads of water to shoot everywhere but no, little steam and splash. thanks for the replies, some advice to give the guy tomo.
  14. drove very slow, and stopped 3 times, being carefull. dont think would have done any damage. ive checked the passanger floor, and its bone dry. fingers crosst its a pipe or something? or just an air lock? or even thermostat issue or something, (im not very good lol)
  15. thanks dudes! panic over hopefully, hope its sumin stupid/easy to sort (know nuthin is easy on a Z tho!!!) dun mind the odd maintanence bill, its the big buggers that put me off! so the cold heaters, big clue, soon as i saw the steam and high temp, i put everyone on, to my horror was freezin! il do a search now. anyone else feel free to post. dont think spotted water in the footwell tho? il have a check now tho
  16. How/why is this? driving slow. was parkt up in traffic for about 15 mins, not a warm day even. lookt at temp gauge, was right up. steam coming out of bonnet etc. drove 5 mins then stopped. the Heaters were stone cold??? put a kettle of water init, trickled home. there is no gunk around the oil cap? (head gasket symptom) and the viscus fan is connected etc. suggestions? iv got a mechanic having a look ina few days, just after some thaughts.
  17. so 20mm the correct size, il have a look at the one in the tire well tonight an measure up
  18. ahh great! so theres another gromet under the spare (lets face it dont really see/use that!) il swap em over tonight. Hope its a good fit! and doesnt leak!
  19. Do you mean there is a spare grommet already in the boot you can transfer to the top? where the wiper was? yea obv if you remove the gromet, you will have a hole there, which water would obv go into your boot. if you leave it in they are water tight tho. if you look on basic Ford Fiestas, they do it. as the base model are not advance to have a wiper, so to save money stick a gromet in. if your worried about someone ripping it out, could always glue it in.
  20. removed rear wiper, as looks too big, and car looks much cleaner without it. not going to splash out on a re-spray/filler job at the mo, just going to blank it off. found this, http://www.screwfix.com/prods/18603/Electrical/Cable-Accessories/PVC-Grommets/PVC-Grommet-Closed-Pack-of-100# just wondered if anyone else done it, or knows the correct size rubber grommet to replace the hole.
  21. going to be doing this myslef. do the downpipe go after the turbo elbow? do the downpipes replace the turbo elbow? (beleive so) if they replace the turbo elbow, id imagine the bolts being quote difficult to undo, as they are on th very hot turbo. lots of heat required to undo i beleive? carefull not to snap em!
  22. sorry off topic, ant, can you give me a txt please regarding them decats :) my numbers on the post u replied on :)
  23. what mileage etc has your car done. any smoking on boost etc?
  24. i do also, as said does open up can of worms the debate if it kills you turbo, just wanted to know if i did it tidy, by removing the pipe on the air intake & blocking them off. or do i have to remove the Vac pipe on the re-circs too?
  25. i am a previous SX boy, we all love the pigeon :)
