fuel pump gone?
last 2 days, ive gone for short drives. each time started, took 2 goes to start (usually fires first time) when started, smelt bit petrolly (dont know if thats coz id been pressing the gas pedal) when started was a bit lumpy, and idle was hunting. but each time after the car drove cleared up and was fine. today coming home, accelarator was a bit boggy, then as was parking heard a whinning noise coming from the back of the car? turnd off the car. tried starting back up, and it wont fire. when i turn the ignition on, sometimes can hear the fuel pump whine for 2 seconds (as normal) and sometimes i turn the ignition on and it doesnt make a sound? but sound or not it wont start :( this a dead fuel pump? or something else related?

Greddy turbo timer.
How does mine work then? i only have the wires connected at the ignition barrel (red, green & blue) i have the handbrake, and the earth wire connected, but the purple one isnt connected to the ECU/speed sensor? still calculates how hard been driving etc, as time increases as drive harder, is there a speed sensor in the ignition? im asuming its obviouslt not as accurate as the ECU?

power cap
do u mean a capacitor for car audio? you have the positive from the battery going to the positive on the Capacitor. then a seperate wire going from the positive on the capacitor to the amplifier. on the negative on the capacitor, you just have the 1 wire from the negative to the car earth :)

DIY - re-trimming interior
In regards to this panel kit: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/90-96-300ZX-NISSAN-Z32-NA-TT-INTERIOR-TRIM-KIT-LAST-ONE_W0QQitemZ130253897458QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 looks good in a photo! dont really wana buy leatherette covers for the seats, and have vynil panels; 1; they bound to be different shade of red to the leatherette 2; theyl look different (vynil looks bit cheaper/plasticier iv heard?) does leatherette fit on the panels easy/nicely? or isit a pain to get on? know real leather has to be stiched on, know vynil stretches, but dont know about leatherette?

DIY - re-trimming interior
thanks guys. can anyone tell me roughly how much material you need for all the panels? looks like can get some nice material, letherette, comis per square meter. 1 square meter be enough to cover all the panels? (glove box, door cards, etc) or 2 square meters?

DIY - re-trimming interior
awsome. so you can get the vynil to wrap the panels, thaught so. think that part would be quite fun to do. can you wrap the seats tho? with the stretchy material? or does seats HAVE to be sown? no idea when it comes to upholstering!

DIY - re-trimming interior
there are a lot of awsome interiors on here, the only thing thats depressing me about my car, is the bloody Tweed!!! im too poor and smelly to afford to give the car to an upholsterer, and pay large amounts of money. seen a guide on here how to do the seats, (the other panels look easy-ish to do) how many people have done the seats themselves tho? or is it really an impossible thing to do? im takling about getting a large sheet of the material, and doing it all.
