  2. get an electrical tester on the stereo wires. got all my gauges off the cd player. if you have aftermarket cd payer, usually have colour coded ISO block on there, work off that
  3. um i dont know if thats safety boost? standard thats all they are? supost to be 9 but may lose a couple. any views on that welcome tho as mine is only just over 0.5kg also
  4. stock boost is crap, mine is less than 10 PSI :smash: need cash to get ECU chipped, then wack it up to 15 PSI

60 BHP??? thats an awful lot!! i was thinking an extra 30?
  7. All japanese cars are restricted to 110 mph mate. asuming yours is import, yours will do the same. need to get it chiped, or converted to mph to remove it.
  8. i actually like the front lights! think it would look better with a yellow tinted lense tho, rarther than painted inside
  9. if you get the converted from kph to mph i beleive that puts the limiter out the window. they only about 12 quid? or chip the ECU, id do this, as can also do other things then (boos up!)
  10. ive just been out to try this, the only way i can see how to remove it is by pulling it down as hard as you can to snap the 2 bracket things its on. cant see how you can get a spanner anywhere, nor cant see any bolts to undo. hurt my fingers bendig it down!
  11. sorry just read page 2 :slap:
  12. i thaught you could only have ITB's on NA machines not turbo? as the intercooler pipes go to the throttle?
  13. going to get new number plate on the front, as mine is all creamy lol, want a new fresh white one. removed the standard one, and its on sort of a 'thing" like a bracket that goes in between the number plate and the bracket. how do i remove this? as i want the new number plate smaller than the bracket? does it just pull/snap off? cant see any screws? unless the bumper has to come off to get at it
  14. so just to recap, only put water in the radiator, and not the container on the left?
  15. i like the standard one. shame its made of foam, but the shape of it is perfect for the style of the Z. looks odd without one!
  16. they still sticking to the Fairlady Z name in japan?
  17. no i dont have a meter sorry, but its not working full stop, on any source of amplifier. on all channels. so if this is the case surely it is not fixable? regardless of the meter reading? not being ignorant! just cant see whats the meter thing gonna do?
  18. thanks guys, but 99% sure sub is screwed. amps have power, and run other speakers. plugd the sub into different terminals on the amp, and even a different soud system and the conclusion is the Sub is F't in the A. new one on the way. thanks anyways! :duffer:
  19. ok. cant see a problem with the system layout, will buy another subwoofer. cant see why would blow another, be gutted if does :o
  20. had this same problem the other month. clean the PTU, the temp sensor, and the Crank angle sensor (CAS) the PTU is a square box on the left cam cover, (underneath the intercooler pipe) has 2 connectors each side going to it. mine was filty with grime. the temp sensors, 2 of them, are on the silver pipe that goes from the radiator to the engine. then the CAS is on the right cam cover, 1 connector going to it. my temp sensors & CAS looked clean, but gave them a clean anyway. check the PTU i would, loads of green grime on there, scrape it off with a sharp knife, then wire wool it back to bronze colour. also sprayd a little WD40 and kitchen rolld it dry too. fired first time then!!!
  21. how would this have happend then? can it be fixed?
  22. all wires are fine, and theres no smell. maybe its just died of old age? its about 5 years old, and i used to give it a bit of hell before, just seems odd it died now?
  23. ive been putting water in the expansion tank!!!
  24. the 370z looks like the shape of the 280z i think.
