  1. ive found a shell for £200. but then id have to pay someone, about £500 to swap my engine and box into. and then convert it to manual, more cash. and MOT it. if a get mine jigged, £600 ? then say £200 for the parts (bumper, bonet an wing, and suspension arm) hopefully in black, so wont need painting. i can weld and fit the parts myself. just the jigging part. id imagine it to work out the same to repair as to re-shell the car was worth 4 grand say? if i break, il get about £1000 back. losing about £3000. maybe better to fix it, but it seems a lot of work tho, and dont know if i can be arst to spend more money onit.
  2. jsut read a previous post, didnt mount the kerb, so asuming its the oil cooler or piping at the front. the piping to the turbos etc - there is no chance of that getting hit, or anything else i can think?
  3. know what you mean. my biggesst thing, is that it doesnt start after crasht. (could be number of things) also, there was oil everywhere from my car :( now the damage doesnt look like it would have hit the engine? and the sump wouldnt have hit nothing??
  4. na its not, just has a Tommy Kaira sticker on the door (looks nice) i wana fix it dont wana re-shell :(
  5. what part is the chasis leg? the actual 2 bits underneath the whole car? or the bits on the sides, where the wings bolt onto
  6. just a thaught, the part of the car, where the wing bolts onto is damaged. can i not just cut the panel out? then weld a new one in from another Z???
  7. ok, iv sourced another shell.. its an auto. how much roughly to put the engine, box, clutch into that car? would it be a manual to auto conversion aswell? or strait forward as the engine and box is from my manual
  8. ok guys. ive seen that post about the red Z. mesaged him. dont know if i wana spend more money on sortin the car, or just break the car, and get something else lesser. how much could i get for the car? engine, box, afm, wheels, tein coilovers, kakimoto twin exhausts, brakes, i cant remove an engine or box im not that good. been depresst today :(
  9. its only Third Partty Fire and theft. does anyone know for a rolling shell? either re-shell or break it.
  10. its gone isnt it. the front quater has been pushed in :( ive removed the bumper and wing to see what its like underneath. comments welcome. have to break it now i suppose.

  13. water temp, boost, oil pressure
  14. i threw my targa bags out :slap:
  15. automatics and non turbos are crap :p na its personal preference i guess. Twin Turbo manual only for me sorry :) id imagine the NA to be too lazy
  16. i just got the origonal plasticy one, all bent :mac1:
  17. you didnt need to ask that question surely! bloddy hell lower it. the maximum gap from the whee arch to the tire should be half an inch, in my opinion :)
  18. the maserati looks like a pile of shite! the looks alone would say 300zx. let alone thr strugle of getting parts for the maserati. also is imagine very difficult to get tuning parts for the maserait, but just the uglyness of the car would put me off
  19. you want 2 sounds isit? 1) with the recirc valve on, withe the recirc pipe removed/blocked (free dump valve mode lol) 2) recircs completly removed and blocked off, (with no other dump valve) aka pigeon/goose honk mode
  20. This is the valve that releases compressed air from your intake when you take your foot of the throttle. Nissan fitted this as standard to help meet emissions standards and also to prevent the lovely rally-esque flutter noise. This noise is created as the compressed air does an about-turn back through your spinning turbo blades like i said, its a very common mod done on the silvias etc. heres a guide here http://www.jull.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=68&Itemid=74 not defending it, maybe its bad, but how bad is a different thing :)
  21. actually done it! it just sounds like a weak little dump valve. dont think ive lost any boost? if i had to describe the noise, id say its like a SSQV, but on about 3 PSI. doing to remove them completly as soon as i get something to block the pipes. they are like free dump valves tho lol
  22. seller is JUST CLUTCH EXEDY CLUTCHES. Guaranteed genuine EXEDY Clutch Europe Ltd. product seems very good at the moment anyway!
  23. nothing is open, iv blocked off the re-circ pipe on the recirc valve, and at the air filter intake pipe. so nothings left open. then the rest of it (top thin actuater pipe, and the bottom bigger pipe) is connected... dont have no idling or running issues, i can hear the goose honk, but i wondered if a part of the goose honk noise was also coming from the recirc valve. (which has the actual recirc pipe removed/blocked)
  24. cheers mate, i know how to replace it with an aftermarket one, just wondered if you only block the recirc pipe on the standard valve, does it do the same as an aftermarket dump valve? (obviously aftermarket ones would be louder etc)
