  1. depends on your spec...
  2. lol i supose ive asked a silly question :) na in all seriousness, is it very noticible, when clean & in the light? its a yes isnt it :smash:
  3. i need a black bumper, my car is the metalic black with gold flake type of Z, ive been offered a non metalic one. will this stand out like a sore thumb? or isit hardly noticable? PS its the front bumper
  4. sorry, NOTE that should have said. they ARE bolted to the car by the recircs. remember, they go towards the engine and down. dont try pulling them up, or try to pull them out towards the outside
  5. ive just done it mate, extremely difficult at a first glance. right first of all youl need to take all the rubber pipes off, and disconnect the intercoolers them selves. the re-circs i took off aswell (not too sure if u need to remove them, but i did) i removed the radiater aswel, gives u room to manuver. all the pipes are removed, by pulling themtowards the engine and then down. took me ages to do, but when the radiater was removed came out pritty easy. not that they are bolted to the body of the car by the re-circs (so youl need to remove the nose panel)
  6. decat, + unburnt fuel = Bangs :xxx:
  7. ok cheers, thaught so. does it matter which one i connect to what? as long as one is posotive & one is negative?
  8. i went to put my electrical drivers seat in my car (because there wasnt a seat bolted down in the car when had it) the car is a NA Jap car, there doesnt seem to be any wire to plug the seat into? dont know if only the TT had the electrical seat, or if the previous owner had cut the wire off or something. anyway looking at the electrical seat, theres only 2 prongs in the connector, im asuming one is posotive & one is negative? so just wire them to a 12+ & 12- source and seat should work yea?
  9. yea, but as ive converted the car from NA to TT, there is no connection on the NA loom for the boost solenoids. so the ECU will be telling it to go safety boost, which is 7PSI. so need to get an electronic boost controller, so can turn the boost up. il be running it on about 14PSI then :)
  10. loving the rims on "the beast" and the word "the beast" on the car
  11. yea its just there to check i remembered how the IC pipes went on. ive got some new ones courtesy of Anthonyd :duffer: should have the car back tomo, take shots of the engine bay etc etc. looking forward to seing how the new NA diff/prop is going to be with the TT engine :) not looking forward to 7PSI tho, need electric controller as i kept the NA loom
  12. engine & box is in the new car, starts :) not driving etc yet as the intercooler pipes arent connected, but starts thats the main thing! used the Auto Loom, Manual TT ECU. had bit of stress calculating how to do the prop combination, and had to swap the powersteering belts from the NA block. anyway, the driver seat has the usual bolster damage, so swapping the top half with one of the seats from the NA car. complete pain in the arse removing the rings that hold it, and removing the headrest bit etc oh, and incase anyone thaught i kept the lightning clocks heres the proper ones lol
  13. ah, im told they are the connections for the EGR, AIV, & FPRV, as the solenoids are on the NA engine, which has now been removed.
  14. ok thaught the red ones would be the boost solenoids, there seemd to be a few2 spare ones in the corner closest to the firewall, the side opposite the battery. i would imagine thats where the loom should be as main things like the PTU, coilpacks etc were connected, il get pics up when possible, cars in the garage yest, and i just went to have a look at it. im asuming it will start as the main things are connected, just wondered as there lookt a few things that wernt. remember this is NA auto loom, going to a TT manual
  15. yea if your cars healthy it should be fine, if your decat and it smokes it just shows the cats were hiding the problem!
  16. why, was your fine/non smokey with them off? but then very smokey on increased boost? on boost or on idle aswel?
  17. i think its a shame it says 300zx on the car. everyone calls mine a 300, when its an import fairlady Z. you dont call a uk S14 a Silvia, its 200SX, and nissan didnt put the 200sx & silvia badge on the same
  18. decating is good performance wise, i decated mine, not sure if i can notice a difference greatly, maybe it does spool a bit sooner and is more responsive, but im not sure. i think it might of bein all in my head, as i knew id freed up the exhaust system :D if turbo seals are on their way out then its not really worth it, on my S13 it smoked with a standard exhaust on boost, put a decat full system on and it literally poured out with smoke. new turbo then, but on cars like that isnt too difficult to change. the Z is a different matter tho! if you are sure your turbo is healthy go for it tho :)
  19. conversion is going well, got the engine and box in today, and finally mates the 45 different combinations of the prop :D using the NA auto loom, there seems to be a few plugs with nothing to conenct to? i know there are no boost solenoid things on the NA loom, but i dont know what the boost solenoids look like on the TT engine, which is in there? there are 2 red large plugs each side of the engine, which i dont know what plug into (i asume that that 1 end is actually on the solenoid, and the other end is supposed to connect to the loom) other than that, there seem to be a few more conenctions just left? should there be many that just connect to nothing? or 1 or 2. if could specify how many spares i should have it would let me sleep tonight :D
  20. thanks for this dudes :) all sorted now :)
  21. but then that will not fitt the manual TT gearbox??
  22. thanks mate, so all i need is a manual rear half of NA prop and it will work yea? 100% will that work??
  23. ive got a full TT manual prop, and the NA automatic prop, i was told could use the rear half of the NA automatic prop, and the front half of my manual TT prop? or do they both have to be manual?? or do i need a TT diff? (will that fit the NA subframe?) asume the manaul & auto diffs are the same?
