  1. ive got the car back, ive got half a bight on the clutch, but they said to do the rest the car needs to be running, as its pressure assisted or something when the engines on. (the car doesnt idle at the mo coz the IC pipes arnt on) so they said put the pipes on, then when the engine is on it should be fine. this sound ok? or will i still have to bleed a bit when ive got the engine working?
  2. na no need. it feels nice removing all the un-neccessary bits like the air con pump, piping and radiater doesnt it :)
  3. hmm ok. is it a good idea to keep the fan, but to wire it so its always on? i dont track the car or anything, but i know cooling is an issue with these cars so dont want to make things worse.
  4. ive just removed the air con, is there any point me keeping the airon fan? ive just got the standard viscus on the car, which i beleive does the job of cooling the car, well no probs yet. i dont like having un-neccessary things in the engine bay!
  5. id also know do you need it. im putting my standard rad back on the car, cant remember if i have the pipe that connects or what the rad/expansion tank connects to
  6. thanks guys, na i dont need anything, this half of an engine was left in the car when i bough the shell. just wondered if it was worth anything, but seems there is too much missing from it. thanks tho i only thaught there was just the throttles missing lol
  7. the car is NA by the way, thaught the balance bar is only on the turbos?
  8. ive removed the engine from the car, as the TT is now in there. as far as i can see, the 2 throttles have been removed from the previous owner, and the cam covers also.
  9. they certainly are nice, guna be selling the Z for one on the next car (sorry) the Z is i real nice looking car, and fast, but PS13 are much cooler, (drifty style)
  10. hmm, perhaps its been built well, just a good enough mechanic hasnt been onit to resolve the boost leak! if thats all thats wrong with it its not awfully difficult to resove? unless the turbo hasnt been fitted correctly when rebuilt, which is engine out job, its hard to tell without looking at really.
  11. bump this, if i just block off the outlet on the power steering pump side, do i need something like a banjo clip or something? does the pump push out high pressure? fluid?? or will a normal bolt or something do the job?
  12. ive got all my wires through there, oil temp, oil press, boost, and the amplifier power wire, all work fine :smw:
  13. on the Z32, the NA belt didnt quite line up i dont think, the confusion the garage had, was using the TT pump (which had a take-off for HICAS) on a car where there was nowhere to link the take-off to
  14. car is still down the garage, it hasnt moved since i told them tho so dont think theyve had a bash yet, should be donw this week tho, taking ages! it was parkt up for a week without them telling me they cudnt do it
  15. sorry, by the pedal :smash: the slave cylinder
  16. ah rite. the garage were confused as didnt know there was no HICAS on the NA one. told them to block the take off at the pump for the HICAS, is it high pressured? or will be fine to just stick a bolt in to block
  17. know the TT & NA clutches are different sizes, dont know about the boxes tho
  18. just went down, they didnt know there was a third place to bleed it on the pedal :smw:
  19. yea i noticed on the resivour the power steering/hicas fluid has 2 take offs, 1 for the power steering 1 for the Hicas. on the resivour (bit you put the fluid in) i just blanked off the other take off. so do i need a new NA pump? or how do i go about making my TT pump line up/work with the NA shell?
  20. ive got a funny feeling that when they removed the lines, that this is the thing their missing, or mayeb didnt remove? im goin to look at the car tomo. isnt this attached to the hard lines? (hope no1 minds me using that pic)
  21. the clutch worked fine when was in the manual car, and a few weeks before i did the conversion i had a new clutch init! its the same garage doing the work, so they would have bled the car that time?? any parts missing??
  22. garage have had problems bleeding the clutch. incase you dont know ive done auto to manual conversion. what parts wernt removed from the manual? the hard lines were removed, the cylinders, pedal (obviously) something in the engine bay they said???
  23. garage have put the TT engine in the NA car. the TT powersteering pump didnt line up with something on the NA car? so theyve used the NA pump (but i did tell them the pump was broken :headvswal) why cant u use the TT power steering pump? or is there a way around it?? really doing my head in now :headvswal
  24. yea try putting the broke ECU back in, secure. sometimes if the ECU isnt in firmly it wont start, did exactly the same as you did on my S13, lent an ECU, still didnt start. (didnt put that in all the way either) so when put my ECU back in firmly and was fine :) unless yours has just stopt working?? (supose it could happen, just like a CD player or telly brakes)
