  2. i will be soon, as i have a lot of parts il be selling, will subscribe the end of the month when get paid. skintoss at the mo, buying new Z tomo, paying get my TT engine out of my car etc etc
  3. no i understand that, thanks for your adivce, engine is about a ton isnt it. its still in the car anyway so its not for sale, just thinking what to do. how much a NA usually go for? i think its easier just to scrap it...
  4. baught a car, will be swapping the TT engine from my car into it. its a working engine, but doesn look asif they are very saught after? its a big lump, what would a scrappy give me for it? seems easier than delivering it to a potential buyer, along with a auto gearbox

  6. picking a Z up tomorrow, traveling 100 miles, got a transit pickup, and a car trailer (big 14fooot proper car trailer) the car has a handbrake, and i can put it in gear, will i be fine without the strap things? or should i use some tow rope as a prevaution.
  7. got a NA subframe on the car :) is the Air Flow meter the same on the NA to the TT? just thinking of any last little bits, as picking the car up friday, and the engines out of mine today....
  8. ive got to do this aswel, (doing auto-manual conversion) interested on any tips! ive heard best to remvoe the bolts from the engine bay first, (on the booster/master cylinder thing?) then im sure i read there are 5 bolts by the pedal itself
  9. they are a complete PITA. ok il try to wiggle them from the bottom, with the rad out. i can imagine how difficult they are going to be to put back in on the NA shell i have!!!
  10. ive disconected the recirc valves from it, and removed the rubber pipes from each end. the pipes are completely loose, but i just cant work out how to wriggle them out of there?? if i pull them out from the top, they get stuck at the bottom, and vise verasa :S anyone got some they have removed for me?

  12. ok. so there is no oil cooler on the NA model then? im swapping my TT engine into a NA car you see, but i need a new sump as mine was damaged.
  13. im trying to get the intercooler pipes out, i can manage one of the melal pipes, from the hotside of the intercooler, but the cold side pipes (to the plenum) i cant see how the hell they come out? (just to advise its the one the recirc valve is conected to, the metal one)
  14. and i asume thats the american LHD guide, so everything is on the oposite side yea? if its on the left of the USA one, its on the right on the Jap one

  16. i need a sump for my TT manual engine, ive got a NA auto shell, and the guy has the sump. will they fit? or they different? i know for a local TT sump anyway (anthonyd) just wondering if i need it off him as the new car has one
  17. yea i know, but like i said, the car has no subframe on it at all. so my TT subframe will have to do. so will this be a problem? as im putting a Hicas subframe on a car that didnt have Hicas in the first place?
  18. just another thaught, when i put my TT subframe on the NA car, will the hicas work? on my TT car there is a hicas light that comes on if hicas not working etc, there are obviously no wires on the NA car to connect the the TT subframe??
  19. yea i know, but the car hasnt got a subframe at all. so my TT one has to go on
  20. actually, im putting my TT subframe on the back, so the diff has to come off also, il use the T diff and TT prop, with my manaul box
  21. does the prop from a manual fitt the diff from an auto? ive got a auto shell now :wack:

  24. cheers mate :) yea sounds easier to get tint for a tenner and do myself. (well get someone to tint as that itself is a PITA :D )
  25. how easy are they to remove? mine are tinted, was gona swap them onto other car, specialist job? or easy peasy. if potch i should stop being a tight arse and just get the new ones tinted :wack:
