  1. larger intercooler helps, do you want it to drive faster in the day like it does in the night? or want to resolve the poor day time flat spot running?
  2. sounds like they couldnt locate the 300zx, so just found 350z, as the nearest match. their error.
  3. get a Bee*R. mental :) had one on my 200SX. dont think anyone has 1 on a Z?? think 300zx owners are a bit more.... sensible?
  4. new cars are going to be better, simply as technology has improved. you get ford focus etc that are 230 odd BHP these days! and vauxhall vectras etc
  5. got the one in the spare wheel well on mine, workd a treat, and looks much better than the wiper unit!
  6. 4? i only saw 3? never the less was a good day :) was expecting to see a few Zs tho :smash:
  7. the best way, and cheapest, TURN THE BOOST UP :) itld need to be chipt tho
  8. Description: Hit a phone poll at 120 mph and continued off a 15 foot cliff rolling 3 times in the process. :smash:
  9. Just drill them out at the cat. they get so rusted, theyl probably just cruble away the second a drill gets near them.
  10. is it not just tracking out? looked at mine today, my left side is bald on the inside! :(
  11. il be making an appearance!! im from Rhondda though, so il go straight there?? what time is the Drifting start then?
  12. heres a thaught. i had the water pump changed a month ago, as was overheating. no leaks found. when pump was off, there was no gasket on there. heaters didnt work. car was fine then. now overheated again. this time heaters work. ive filled up with water, and its fine. 1) was the water pump changed for no reason? was it just the fact the mechanic filled it full of water after changing the pump that cured the over heating? its lasted a month before overheating again. if this was the case would it have overheated sooner? 2) the water pump was gone. and this is a new leak/problem. as the heaters work this time, and the gauge workt.
  13. £50 each by me!!!! so thats £100 for de-catting. more or less a free upgrade, as the £100 then pays for the decats!
  14. also got this issue. along with a leather gaiter, that looks like a dog has been playing with it :smw:
  15. was told to do that, to avoid leaking the oil. any pressure just goes back through the sysytem? thats a seperate issue tho think. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=113144 anyway, filled it up with water. and i mean filled it up! radiator must have been empty? as tool loads and loads of water. also put a few litres in the other part (passanger side water container) drove home fine, temp stayed lovely and normal. heaters worked fine. theres obv a leak somewhere tho? but doesnt appear to be blatent. mechanic going to inspect it next week. going to leave it parked up until sorted.any coments, views opinions welcome!
  16. was thinking this also, as i have tinted rear windows, and black car. PMLS at the coffin statement! i agree! those targa cover things are awful, does feel like your sitting in a box! there isnt a lot of head room in the Z (i like that really) wonder how dark/coffin like a slicktop is lol
  17. just filled up with LOADS of water. Radiator took quite a bit, so asume not much in there. noticed the oil dipstick pushed out, and spurted oil around the barttery again. need to tape it in. (there is no pessure in there tho when you take the oil cap off to check) If the head gasket has gone, how will it use loads of water? or is it a leak? got a mechanic on the sceene next week, wont be driving until then
  18. mine is like fag smoke. not heavy and thick, thin and grey, and comes out slowly, not pores out heavy
  19. Hmm. literally overheated as i was parking up. have not driven it whilst steamy. checked the oil cap straight away, was all nice and clean. fingers crossd ive got a massive hole in one of the water pipes! paranoid as hell tho now :(
  20. yea stock gauge, whats wrong now :( simple air lock? but how would have developed? got a new water pump, a month ago, so cant be that (asume) have to check for leaks/pipes. Gutted man :(
  21. just pulled into work, steam coming from Drivers Side of engine bay  the temperature gauge was normal though? last month the water pump went, temp gauge was right up, and steam galore. whats this now then? how come the temp gauge was fine? Hope this is something cheap and easy :( im dreading driving home :(
