  1. Is this what you are looking for? After a brief (very brief) read on the net, there seems to be a clear divide between people who think its a great idea and others who dont. Team A thinks it saves their paint and therefore an expensive full respray even so often, Team B thinks its expensive and you never quite see your cars paint to the full effect (they also say its worse on darker cars) Have a good read, theres quite the arguement going on on pistonheads and a TVR forum! http://www.bodyguarduk.com/product.html http://www.clearguardforcars.com/
  2. I would key him back.....with my stanley knife!
  3. My low fuel light doesnt work either. I havent changed the clocks or even checked the bulb. I just play Fuel gauge roulette...
  4. Somebody buy them and turn them back into 300zx....please...
  5. I'm running 10 on all my machines now. Its really good. My only complaint is media centre is gone, so I cant watch live tv on my pc anymore. I'll have to find another way now...
  6. That looks like a parcel with China Post packing tap all over it in the backround!
  7. With the plenum off, my friend managed to drop a spark plug down one of the 6 intake holes... sellotape on the end of pencil amazingly got it back out, with a lot of swearing ofcourse!
  8. My downstairs neighbour has a Bluebird and Cherry and another old Nissan estate from that era...
  9. Look for a program called "easyRecovery Professional" by a company called "ontrack". When I ran my PC repair shop out in China I had many people come to me with "dead" HDs. The program is designed to grab lost data even after a format, its amazing what you think is gone forever, I was finding stuff on HDs 4 years after they had been deleted. The reason I bring it up is because in the Utilities section, there are tools for re-formatting, repairing sectors and partitions. It should help you out and solve all your problems...
  10. It was a great day today. I met my friend and his Z in Polegate at 6am, drove at fast (!) motorway speeds to the meeting point at Tescos Applemore, then joined a convoy of about 15 300ZXs and what felt like a million 350/370s! Took a long time to get into Beaulieu and managed to cover my freshly cleaned car in gravel dust, but once parked up we were in an excellent position, right by the burger vans and main pathway. Loads of people checking out our cars (even mine with all its missing paint!). It was great to meet a few of you from here, although I didnt get to meet you all! Had a look around and there were some great cars and some lucky people. Ive realised my 20-car garage now will include a R34 in Bayside blue, A Celica GT-4 in castrol colours and a 280Z in any colour! However the most important thing I discovered yesterday was that I can not wait until my Z is in pristine condition, Seeing all your Zs sparkling and gleaming together made my mouth drop and my heart burst. Well done to all of you for the work you put into them, they all looked magnificent and I hope one day mine will be half as good as them. One other thing I took away from exhibiting at my first car show was bring cloths and polish, you cant tell from the pictures, but compared to all the other cars, my car was filthy after that gravel car park queue! Some pics for you all:
  11. Im going to clean mine saturday evening when I get back from work, have to be gentle with mine though, its loosing more paint
  12. Original all the way...
  13. Did you buy that silver V8 300zx that was on ebay for a while?
  14. I love windows 8, always have, always will. Ive got Windows 8.1 pro running on all 5 of my machines and even mine and the wifes phones run windows phone 8! Im looking forward to 10, but I think Microsoft should have stuck to their guns and kept the tiles (metro interface). The world seems to hate change and I feel people jumped on the "lets hate Microsoft for doing some new" band wagon. Actually once you have learnt how to get around in windows 8, and set it up properly, its so much easier and quicker to do things. team it with office 365 and the cloud, i can enter my shifts into a spread sheet on my phone at work, have its save to the phone, cloud and pc at home, then have it print at home so its ready waiting for me. They worked hard on integration between hardware and cracked it i think... Windows 10 should be even better as Microsoft has a history of releasing something bad then much better: Windows 3.1 - Windows 95 Windows ME - Windows XP Windows Vista - Windows 7 Windows 8 - Windows 10?
  15. About a month after buying it, my Z became my daily drive, so I had cancel the classic policy I had it on and find someone else. Most companies weren't interested on finding out that my car is an import. Adrian Flux however quoted me £700 fully comp with one years NCB (been out the country for 10 years), which was cheaper than the MX-5 MK1 I had just got rid of! I haven't had a renewal from then yet...
  16. Paid and book. Ill be outside tescos at 8am. please no one laugh at my lack of paint though...
  17. Tell me you flew a red arrow over the M3 with your GPS to create those pictures!
  18. I once did 202MPH in my first gf's dad's original GT40. I wasnt driving it, just a passenger and must admit, the speed might not have been accurate as this was before smart phones and GPS apps etc. Fastest I've ever driven was 161MPH in a lambo at brands hatch. I do have the video proof of that some where
  19. I pay by DD monthly and its £20.12 £20.12 x 12 = £241.44 Its a tiny bit more at the end of the year, but it helps spread the cost in my eyes
  20. Shagpile is the way forwards. Once you've gone shagpile, you wont go back...
  21. A spring one of course... nothing better than bouncing my way to the garage when my nissan fails to start/run/stop/turn/cool down/heat up/cruise/crawl/open passenger window/wipe windscreen
