  1. Car failed MOT on friday, so spent the morning changing the reversing light to a fog light. retest today! We then took the roof off and went for a drive as it was a toasty 15C down here!
  2. As title says, please let me know if you have any of these. thanks!
  3. As with women, there is a car out there for everyone.... however I would prefer to drive a diesel Kia Picanto than this!
  4. Sounds like a good plan! Im always out and about in mine as its a daily use car. I saw that silver one again yesterday outside Halfords in Eastbourne. A chap in his 40's got in it and gingerly drove off...not sure if its his or he's new to them!
  5. I was driving buses around Eastbourne yesterday and saw a ZX near Victoria Drive near the row of shops. Looked good and pretty OEM. Was it you? Mine needs a friend to chat with so let me know!
  6. It snowed on my way back from Ashford (kent) last night. It wasnt settleing and theres nothing outside this morning :(
  7. My wife and I watched the 2nd BTTF movie last night. I love the delorean. I would jump at the chance to have one. Have you watch "For the love of cars"? They restore cars and then sell them at auction. One episode they do a Delorean and end up selling it at auction for crazy money!
  8. Maybe. Its a school night so might not be able. If it was a weekend, we would be out to play :D
  9. Was that car a blue one in a village outside Ashford somewhere? If its the car I'm thinking of it had rust, the interior looked like a dog had been living in it and it had tights over the back lights... It was on preloved for £1200...
  10. Nothing like a bit of "bush" action... :innocent:
  11. The warehouse where I used to work had those in stock. They are made by a company called "crazy ape" or something I think. We used to get deliveries of their stock from china for us to store, but it all needed barcoding so I would have to barcode 10000+ watches!
  12. Got a phone call from his insurance company today. The garage will collect the car tomorrow, check the car, fix all damage and give a life time guarantee. I even get a hire car for the duration. Hope it wont be too long though, ill miss my baby!
  13. Tell me about it! I've had a look underneath and all seems ok. I was stopped and he wasn't doing more than 10mph. I think it just flexed the bumper which took the paint off. I don't think the bumper is even deformed. The guy said he would pay for any damage...
  14. We took ours for a spin out in the sunshine and were rewarded with a van going into the back of us!
  15. No ice down here at all. Just grey and cold! Do be careful though, we dont want any 300s on their sides or roofs :p
  16. Welcome, good see another black one :p
  17. Happy New Year, Hope to meet a lot of you sometime soon!
  18. Merry Christmas and happy new year. May your futures be full of horsepower, high octane petrol and empty bending roads!
  19. Im driving to Norwich and back today, so ill let you know how the MPG is for motorway cruising
  20. My classic car insurance with Lancaster was £320 and Im 29. it limited so many things such as no NCB earning, no commuting to work, no euro cover, limited mileage, it was pretty useless to be honest. £400 does seem a bit steep for your classic insurance but all depends on age/driving experience/points/postcode etc. Ive been driving 12 years and never had an accident or point *touch wood* My adrian flux policy is a "normal policy" with NCB earning, european cover, drive other cars on 3rd party, etc. and that was £700.
  21. I just had to cancel my insurance with lancaster because they wouldnt allow my 300zx to be my main car. Im now with Adrian Flux; unlimited mileage, can drive to work/be main car etc for £700. Do be careful with insurance because they will look for any excuse to not pay out. Lancaster annoyed me because when I rang up to check about the car being my main car, she cancelled the policy straight away then told me the cancellation fee was £278!!!! The years policy was only £320. I complained and said "no wonder people cheat insurance companies, because here i am being honest and i get smacked in the face!". She talked to her supervisor and put me on hold for 18mins. when she came back, she said the cancellation fee would be £60... makes you wonder how many people have been cheated by a huge cancellation fee. Moral of the story: dont use Lancaster and dont accept the cancellation fee...
  22. when I drove my car back from buying it (400 miles-ish) I got 20 miles from home and the gearbox wouldn't let me select 5th or reverse. It was like they didnt exist, the stick wouldnt move to the right. I found that by taking the centre console off and the gearstick gaiter off, there was a nut missing that held the shifter stick in place. I added a nut, tightened everything up and its better now. sometimes it doesnt like changing into 5th and i have to put a bit more force in, but atleast i get all gears now. Have a look at yours, check all the bolts etc.
