Can anyone weld a few holes for me? South East Area
I have a Toyota Celica that needs a bit of welding in the rear arches for an MOT. Its two holes on the offside about golf ball size and one hole on the near side of a similar size. Its within 30cm of the suspension hence the MOT fail. Please PM me I you can help me out!

HIDs - the downside!
I was recommended these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/55W-HID-Xenon-Conversion-KIT-Headlights-Error-Free-Canbus-H7-6000-8000-10000K-/391000701362?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item5b097539b2 I bought the 6000K set a good 6 months ago now and they are still going strong. They are better than the stock dipped bulbs, but still not amazing, but for £16 you cant complain!

Who is old enough to remember...
Mine was made from a bit of scaffold planking, 4 pram wheels, a piece of rope and a ride on lawn-mower seat. We lived on the side of the south downs, so it was terrifying down the chalk path ways. Ive still got the scars...

What do you weigh?
I might be wrong, but doesnt the car have to be dead centre of the weight bridge to get an accurate reading? Your car is parked on the edge, kinda like standing on the edge of the bathroom scales. (I could be wrong of course!, ive never actually been on or near a weight bridge!!

washer bottle question??
sorry to hi-jack this thread, but my rear washer doesnt seem to pump out water. I can hear the pump going but nothing comes (!). The previous owner has also disconnected and smoothed off the aerial on the quarter panel. Is it possible he has disconnected the rear wash for some reason? The tailgate doesnt seem to fill with washer fluid (or any thing to be exact!), is there any way I can open it up and check the pip work?

Need some advice on getting ANOTHER 300zx!
Her budget isnt much to be honest. £1500 is the top i believe, she can get away with doing monthly direct debit insurance. It is quite a small amount in terms of Zs, I have warned her, but she still wants one! - - - Updated - - - Ive just seen the blue one on ebay has gone now, i guess someone made the £1000 offer :(

Need some advice on getting ANOTHER 300zx!
My wife has decided she cant live without a 300zx in her life. Her Ford Fiesta has failed its MOT because of rust and she now thinks its time to upgrade. I feel that a NA model would be best as she has been used to a 1.3 4 banger, so its quite a step up to a V6, let alone a TT. She hasnt got much money and after search the net ive come up with 2 that are within her budget (including repairs) but i need some advice: 1) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161738586857?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT How hard is it to change a clutch yourself? I've been quoted £300-400 for a clutch change. Is the paint on the bonnet easy to touch up? 2) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201375112201?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I know its difficult to tell from the pictures and people wont want to commit to telling me to buy, but how bad is the rust on this car? Is it too far gone? Thanks in advance!

300zx model
Ive been watching the Tamiya one for a while now, but its 1/24. I collect 1/18 cars of everything I've owned or driven. Its really hard to find a 1/18 scale 300zx though :(

Some troughts after my attempts to be come a Z trader
I haven't been on this forum that long yet, but I have found a few things: 1) Some people have an NA z for commuting to work and have a TT locked in the garage for the one sunny day we have in this country. Your NA is spectacular, but I think its hard to sell as no-one will want to use it daily. Beaulieu might be interested? 2) Its been said, but most people on here have a Z already and most of us are now broke(!) so cant afford another one... 3) TTs are the most desirable (im still saving for one, see above point!), manual TTs even more so. I think (as been mentioned) pistonheads and classic car sites are the way forwards as ebay is just full of people looking for "something for nothing" or "oops sorry my son bid by accident..." As for a name, you want something that shows professionalism, honesty, good deals, etc... "JDMheaven" "ClassicImports" "JapanesePowerHouse" "Nihon Imports" (thats "Japan" in Japanese) I would choose something that doesnt limit you to one car and i would stay away from "Imports R us" JapanesePorn" "JapAuctions" "CheapJapCarsNow" "SellYourGoldHere" (sorry got carried away with that one!) My friend and I flip the occasional car, mostly Peugeot 406 coupes, Ford Probes, Toyota Supra, Mitsubishi FTO etc and one car can fly off the shelves within hours and others can sit around for months. It really is down to the right person at the right time. I hope this helps and if it doesn't please send abuse in a stamped, addressed envelope to: "Im a useless idiot who knows nothing", 201 Wood Lane, London, W12 7TQ.

The problem with concept cars if they make them look awesome, cool and futuristic etc. But they never make them because at the end of the day the accountants (who actually run car companies) think its too much of a risk and they end up building something safer... Off the top of my head, the only decent looking concepts that actually got made were: Audi TT Nissan GT-R BMW i8 thingy Jaguar new one (FK i think) And maybe the newer GT-40 Aston Martin: Please make this and stop our motorways being filled with cars that all look the same....I followed a car yesterday that was so generic, if you took off the badge you could have put any other badge on and sold it.... turns out it was a Peugeot rant mode> soapbox>

My new daily drive, 324bhp 2 seater na zed...
Im going to be honest here: I never like the 350Z (or 370Z) when they first came out, I felt they looks too bulky/chunky. However I think they have matured into a very nice future classic! Infact (im going out on a limb here...) I think the newer Celica is the same. Ugly when it first came out, now its matured into a nice sports car. I think it was ahead of the game in the "Design cars with triangles to make them look cool" game. Its just a shame they didnt do a mad 320BHP GT4 version... phoenix, I think yours looks excellent in that colour and I'm going to have to drive to Haywards Heath to have a nose around it! P.S dont let anyone tell you its a renault :lol:
