  1. Im planning on remvoing mine, seems extra weight that Il never make the full use of. Nissan did put time in getting it right but it only really helps in certain situations (ie 30-70 and progressive turns), in other situations it can make the back feel a bit "wooly"
  2. No idea but fluid easy to check, drivers side of the engine bay on firewall
  3. biggest thing with zeds i would say is take the car to someone that really knows how the cars work /are put togeather! If you take the car to someone that doesnt know it you can end up swapping lots of random parts to solve something simple and common! This is also why so many different garages are telling you different things! Zed engines are pretty robust and guys are running them at over 140,000 miles without rebuilds so i would be suprised if you have enough wear for piston slap!
  4. had DS on my 200sx and they were great on track days and normal use! IF you got the cash they are great brake pads!
  5. Thank goodness that on reading this thread you didnt ask where you could wire the lights on your washer jets too! (It seems to be fiarly common on zeds to have weak washer jets, if you search, one of the guys has produced a little guide on how to clean up the motor and contacts to improve the pressure/flow)
  6. PMSL Pi$$ my$elf laughing
  7. Lol, well they will get even more upset when the rest of us start serviceing our micra/cabstar datsuns
  8. Damn it none anywhere near me, typical! lol
  9. maybe we could do with putting togeather an FAQ on the forume so we have a full list of which "non-zed" bits are actually fitted to the zed
  10. Sad to see something like this thread, guess we heading in to the time of year where we will see more and more of these! Hope its nothing major
  11. All i need to do now is find someone that can clean my zed so it looks anything like those pictures! Any volunteers?
  12. Just need to find the local cost cutter as it seems a really good deal
  13. Jeff at zedworld is a top bloke! Always happy to help and sees my zed when i can get it down to him
  14. Cool, thanks very much, seems useful little package
  15. Do have their website? Im trying to find it and i just seem to be directed to american sites
  16. Im aware that if you drive a manual you shouldnt do too many 0-60's or 1.4miles unless your clutch is up to the job. Im just wondering if the same can be said for a torque converter in an auto box? Friction shouldnt be the same issue? I know the fluid etc will heat up and you will be straining the diff tyres etc but can the auto box take more 0-60 runs?
  17. Im actually trying to get codecs for my in car pc frontend, and it only uses media player so im stuck with that im afriad. thanks though guys
  18. Ive installed k lite but no it opens all my files in media player classic? how do i change that?
  19. Thanks Lets hope this works!
  20. im running media player 10 with the latest divx codec installed on 2 laptops and yet one mp4 (im pretty sure thats what it is) wont play on one of the laptops. Problem is this 2nd laptop doesnt have net access so i cant just connect and get the codec it thinks it needs. I have searched around the net, but havent been able to find a codec pack for media player 10 (only 9 and this is already in mp10). Both machines running xphome and pretty much got all updates on. Any way i can find out exactly what encoding has been used to make this movie, and then which codec i might need? Thanks all
  21. Good! Guess i will have to do a bit of digging this weekend! Might just wire my own new acc circuit for my carputer amps etc with a new relay etc and just accept the old acc to switch the relay!
  22. Work this one out! Checked the engine cont fuse all was fine, so went back into the drivers side footwell fuse box and replaced the rear wiper fuse that had blown and suddenly my entire acc circuit is back? Is this something to do with the way all zeds are wired or has someone fooked mine up over the years off after market radios etc being installed? Man this confused me!
  23. No problem i will have a look, hope its that else ive no idea which bloody fuse has gone!
  24. I had a look this morning before work in the large fuse box with the relays in and didnt see any large fuses at all? Had a look at my lables as well and didnt have anything like engine IC, had a small fuse for engine cont but that didnt look blown? If it helps my rear wiper doesnt work either? I will try and check that fuse later, tried this morning but couldnt get enough light into the fuse box.
  25. I always thought that colder air meant it was more dense to start with, so once it had ben though the turbos it meant even more compression therefore more air, therefore more fuel should be added. This works fine until the injectors cannot keepup and you start to det? Thats also why cars have more power with colder dense air isnt it? Sounds like the zed in question has plenty done to it so 16psi shouldnt be bad, but i would wait for the guys with the RR to tweak it..
