  1. Is her name christie? Have tattoos? :whistling:
  2. Blending is how it's done to loose the color difference, if you just paint one panel and not the adjacent panel you will most likely see a difference, they blend across adjacent panels to loose the definitive stop start line, if done correctly it will be spot on, our bodyshop just finished a side paint job on a V12 Vantage, it is flawless and it was blended. £600 for a bumper in good condition is steep, if the paint on it is sound then they won't strip it, just key it prime it and paint it, I only paid £600 for front bumper, headlamp panel, stillen lip, stillen skirts and door fillers.
  3. I replaced both of mine recently for £90 each from Nissan, there worth every penny mate.
  4. The car is without question up to the standard (if not beyond), I think it's the fact that people (who are not in such a position) bringing into question the correct type of cars the club should display, funkysi stated that it isn't a modified car event, true it isn't, but to suggest he knows what people visiting the show will want to see is just wrong. And as for the likes of Jason farrows zed, I GUARANTEE people will look closely at it and be drawn in by it just likes dans zed if either were on the stand. CLASSIC CAR SHOW NOT MOST OEM OR OEM+ or whatever other title you want to give it......
  5. If your running lower ride height than stock you will need adjustable traction rods to be able to correct the toe change from the suspension being more compressed, the traction rods and rear control arms help the suspension to remain as close as possible to a uniform arc during suspension compression, it will never be perfect as toe change occurs naturally during compression but having the ability to make small adjustments helps keep things in an overall good setup, if your adjustable rods are coming loose maybe just replace with new/better parts. 6. I can't see anywhere on the classic motor show website that states OEM vehicles only......In fact looking through the gallery it's quite obvious many of the cars are modified in many ways. Is choosing the cars the right way to go about this? Who gets to choose? The committee? Unfair I think. If choosing which members cars are to be displayed on our club stand it should be the club members who choose. And I don't see for one minute why a modified zed shouldn't be chosen either, let's be honest here chaps, we all goto places like jae and Beaulieu etc and stand and look at others cars and say "I like that mod" or "that looks like a turd" but the fact is we all like different things. Some cars such as joelyp's or funkysi's etc are beautiful examples of the marque but I don't think these are the only examples to be considered, GIBSTER's creation is a massive contrast to these cars and just as worthy of being at a show like the nec purely for the fact it is modified in such a heavy way. I'm not convinced choosing cars is the right way to go about deciding who goes, who really has the right to say another member shouldn't be allowed to display their car? Maybe a pick at random is a fairer option? But if that's the case we need to be assured it is genuinely at random.
  7. I possibly cannot take mine either then dan, I don't have an oem radio! :tt2:
  8. I see potential right there I pass a house every evening on way home from work and see a grey TT on a drive which hasn't moved for years just like this one, it makes me sad to see this, one day I will stop and ask a few questions. Who knows.......
  9. This looks like excellent work! Well done.
  10. I think your work/social life ratio needs reviewing Joel! And I WILL have the twinz diffuser and rear bumper stone chip removal done too.
  11. Ok mate, be nice to move onto the second date.....
  12. Modfest reserve list 1 - omgitsalic 2 - RichardSmith
  13. Added mate, and doesn't matter on mods at all, I'm sure there will be plenty of cars there aren't to my liking either, but it won't stop me enjoying the day :thumbup1:
  14. Myself and Dan (GIBSTER-TT) are attending Modfest 2016 at Orsett show ground A13 Essex on Saturday 20th Feb. We have a 4 car stand booked and would like to offer the remaining 2 spaces to any club members who would like to join us On the day. Arrival time to be confirmed nearer the date as it's a staggered entry system to allow everyone an easy entry. I would hazard a guess at 8am to 9am arrival. I suppose the easiest way to grab the spaces would be the first 2 members to firmly commit and pm me gets them. If anyone who commits cannot for any reason make it we will offer the space to the next in line ASAP. Of course any member wishing to come along please do!

  18. I would be willing and privileged to attend. But only if I get a balloon like Joel did
  19. If you actually read my op fully it clearly states that I'm not out to upset anyone or suggest that running a club is easy, it's time consuming, time which most people never see put in by the people who make it what it is. But please don't have a go at me for taking the time to actually post what I feel are common thoughts amongst members, if we as a club cannot look back at events and learn how to improve on them then that's very sad. I feel that I'm only saying what a lot of people are thinking. Maybe I'm wrong.....I'll take my chance.
  20. The comments on Jae have already been discussed and it was pretty much the same answer all round so I insulted nobody, and the reason for my thread title was to attract attention as it has.
  21. Because this thread isn't about me helping out is it, it was a thread about my observations and thoughts, if I said "no" to helping out then "Hypocrite" would have been the following post. That's why I felt it was wrong for Gary to put me on the spot by asking. I wasn't expecting an answer to my original question there and then.
  22. Gary, of course running anything these days costs money, I appreciate that, but look at the accounts post for 2013, as said I may have missed a more recent post regarding these and apologise if I have. I just feel the club could be better and that was the intention of this thread.
