Veilside's work in progress
Just a little tip russ, after you have set the level when cold u need to drive the car a decent distance to properly warm up the fluid, idling on the drive will take ages, set the level cold, run engine, go through the gears stopping in each fir a few seconds, back to P, Leave engine running, recheck level, then go for a steady drive for around 10 miles, into P, leave running and check the level hits the hot mark. Good luck mate. :thumbup1:

Any mortgage boffins?
Basically, spend nothing on your zed until your mortgage is paid up! Yeah right!

What did you do to your zed today?
Fitted EBC grooved rear discs and red pads tonight, then fitted some new spark plugs and an oil and filter change, going to begin cleaning for JAE tomorrow.

That truly is a ridiculous advisory, it's of no relevance. Some testers do make me laugh

Do I get special treatment as I'm 50% Irish?

Show us your wheel....
It's just another way that highlights how modifying a zed is tricky, I think cars such as skylines are far more forgiving when it comes to mod choices, the zed however is just hard to get right.

Show us your wheel....
Same fitted to mine, went for the red stitch to tie in with the gear knob and dial needles, looks right at home IMHO.

Stripping and rebuilding throttle housings and linkage - any useful tips?
The butterfly screws are pressed once fitted when new, so they or the butterfly can never become loose and get drawn into the cylinders. just remember to use a thread locking fluid when refitting if you do remove these.

Clear bumper rap for fresh paint chip/scratch protection.
I had a friend a while back that had a special rubberised clear coat applied to his super bike fairings as he was fed up with chips, never had a chip again after that, the stones just bounce off and don't mark the clear coat at all. Can't remember exactly what it was called though. Maybe a google session required.

Electrical Guru Help installing OEM Keyless Entry System
The lock/unlock unit fitted along with this keyless entry system simply operates the door locking mechanism, the signal to the passenger door us sent from the drivers door latch fitted to all Zeds. So the yellow wire isn't for passenger door I assure you.

Electrical Guru Help installing OEM Keyless Entry System
I removed this same system from my zed soon after I bought the car, the infra red was to be honest useless unless next to the window, I threw it all in the bin, fitted a toad system, no trouble at all.

Rear Tyres!
A tyre can be cracked all over, providing none are deep enough to reach ply or cords we can only advise and pass. And an MOT in no way determines the road worthiness of a vehicle, that lies with the driver and or operator. It's nice to see the owner of a vehicle taking notice of an advisory and taking action, most don't

Rear Tyres!
Dot code doesn't determine date. The sidewall will be marked something like 4408 usually stamped in a circle on its own, it means week 44 of 2008.
