  1. A small leak in the exhaust can cause a high lambda reading, the Venturi effect draws air into the exhaust upstream of the test probe. A tiny leak can and will cause this. Also in the uk, if an exhaust is joined anywhere post engine you CANNOT test each bank individually.
  2. Not having to swap columns would be great, I'll get a non airbag setup tomorrow from a local scrapper and hopefully it will all fit nice.
  3. Yes mate, it's the switch operated by selector lever on side of transmission, if this was already fitted on new transmission it could be faulty, or it could be the harness if your not using the original one.
  4. Range position switch? Was this replaced from original?
  5. As it turns out, the only boss listed for a 300zx by momo is for non airbag vehicles. now the boss does fit the splines correctly, but you have to remove the ribbon cassette to enable the boss to seat correctly onto the shaft. Now then, I believe the shaft is longer on airbag equipped cars as once fitted the boss sits too far away from the top column bearing and the lugs to cancel indicators don't reach the indicator stalk. I think the only option is to fit a non airbag column, with a non cruise non hicas cassette at the top of the column with the sprung loaded pin for the horn. Also I think maybe the opening around the cowl is different on airbag cars as there are lots of cutouts for the wiring multi plugs etc. physically the boss would fit and work fine, but it wouldn't be totally correct as there would be no horn on the steering wheel, a large gap between the boss and the cowl. It just wouldn't sit right with me.
  6. That's what I wanted to hear! Cheers chaps
  7. Morning all, does anyone know if the steering column size and splines are the same on airbag and non airbag versions? My zed is non cruise, non hicas, with airbag, my local momo supplier only lists non airbag fitment. not bothered about the electrical side of things just the actual fitment to the column. thanks.
  8. I'm running a TT manual front prop bolted to NA auto rear prop, had to bolt flange from the auto NA front section to the tt manual front section so it matched the auto NA rear section.
  9. TT and NA flanges are different where they bolt at centre bearing, but flanges are interchangeable on the splines so swap your flanges to match.
  10. Leave all parts fitted where they go, fit your new clutch line. Now take a thumb operated oil can, clean it out of any oil, fill with brake fluid, attach a length of clear silicone hose to the end of the spout, purge the air out right to the end of the silicone tube, attach to bleed nipple on slave cylinder, undo bleed nipple and back bleed fluid up until master cylinder is on max mark. Works perfect every time, clean, only takes one person. :thumbup1:
  11. I don't, I like the fact that my zed doesn't use led,smd or hid, can't see why a car developed in the 90's needs to look like every other piece of crap from today.
  12. Smoke it, scope it, don't just poke and hope it
  13. I know what u mean si, I was thinking with front lip on stock bumper type 3 skirts and fillers, twinz rear diffuser fitted,I could leave rear bumper stock, I haven't seen much for the rear that I like to be honest, trying to keep mods subtle, maybe the bumper swage line will look fine without pinstripe once stonechip gone.
  14. I was just concerned the recessed pinstripe groove on bumper would look odd as there would be no recess on the sides or front, maybe I'll see how it looks with skirts fitted first and just peel off bumper pinstripe. thanks chaps. :thumbup1:
  15. Your dead right mate, the top of the skirts are moulded to fit snugly into the stock pinstripe recess so there will be a line along the top of the skirt once fitted, it just won't recess into the panel like stick, I was just concerned the recess on the rear bumper would just look odd with nothing to match on the sides, I like the stock lines of the body and am trying to keep it simple, that's why I went for stillen parts.
  16. I hear you guys, it's just that as I'm fitting stillen front lip and skirts with door fillers I thought the swage line on rear bumper would look lost, will have to loose the pinstripe at the least as there will be none anywhere else. Trying to keep the look flow around the body.
  17. I'm fitting my rear diffuser soon and am planning to remove the stonechip effect on the bumper, I would also like to smooth the coach line groove at the same time, don't want to replace bumper or fit a skin over the top. Just curious if anyone has attempted this and if so what were the results.
  18. Just a suggestion
  19. What a life u lead si! Not knowing if your gonna be in the country at any given time.
  20. Collected these today, what a perfect fit, they are literally an oe fit, gotta get busy fitting now. Thanks to MJP :thumbup1:
  21. Got a call from MJP, stillen skirts and fillers have arrived from US. I'm a happy boy
  22. Can't see why u wouldn't get it into 1st mate, maybe just allow the car to move very slightly for the gearbox to free up.
