  1. Where does our membership money go? I can't see how that can be asked any better, this thread is about improving the club for everyone, and as the op states it's not meant to offend or upset anyone.
  2. because a question like that asked on here is hard to answer right away, is it not? My question was something that we all as members have a right to know do we not?
  3. Not the right way to ask such a question I feel Gary.
  4. I could be wrong here Gary but I can only find accounts up to April 2013, that's nearly 2 years, Andy must be a busy fellow. Apologies if I missed a more recent post on accounts.
  5. I parked on club stand the night I arrived, and moved in the morning because to be honest, it was poor was it not?
  6. Thanks for the feedback guys, so do we have up to date accounts to view?
  7. And so a future Z32 owner is born! Congrats to all mate.
  8. I'm gonna ask this question here as I have asked and never got a proper answer. Where does the money from membership/traders fees and advertising go? I'm aware that there is a cost to maintain websites etc etc but surely the income must far exceed the outgoings from what I can see To be honest I don't feel that the "club" does much in the way of hosting events, this isn't a dig just an observation. Jae 2015 was to be honest a poor attempt by the club IMO We attend public shows as a club but don't seem to organise much as a club dedicated event Don't get me wrong here anyone I appreciate every thing that anyone has done to bring club members together but I feel that with what the club receives in income there must be more that can be done?? I could be wrong here but IMO from what I've seen in the last couple of years and chats I've had with others, the club has lost its way a bit? For me club events are an important part of owning cars such as the Z32, and there needs to be more done by the committee to include members from across the country. There are members down south west (you know who you are) that have literally one event a year close by which is Beaulieu, (one of the better gatherings luckily) and that isn't a club event either. Club members are spread far and wide across the country and I bet most would be willing to travel a few miles to a good club event, not one with a tent, crap food,no music and no atmosphere. As said nothing written above is meant to upset anyone or point fingers, it's just something I wish to put out there to hopefully improve the 300zx.co.uk experience
  9. I found the later cast iron calipers to cope better with brake fade too
  10. And if you don't have the details of the supplier of the plates printed on them so what....... Again it's not checked on an mot, and the plates were made before they started printing these details officer......:whistling:
  11. This is just another example how the construction and use rules differ with mot requirements, for mot purposes the margins are 11mm and import can be reduced to 5mm. It doesn't state which margins. See table below We as testers are required to actually measure nothing. 9 out of 10 plod haven't a clue on construction and use so follow the mot guidelines an you'll be fine with the measurements I gave.
  12. But in this case I'm happy to admit yours is bigger than mine :w00t:
  13. Basically u won't find a plate that overall size, but get a standard uk front plate made with the smaller lettering and correct spacing then trim the plate with a 5mm margin, polish the edges using wet and dry and put a nice radius on the corners and voila.
  14. We can run on smaller plates as the vehicle isn't type approved Character stroke is 10mm Character height is 64mm Character width is 44mm Character spacing is 10mm Group spacing is 30mm And a 5mm margin on all sides So actual plate size isn't specified a shorter reg would equal a smaller plate, stick to the above and your legal.
  15. I think the square plate makes the car look as though it's trying to eat a Granny Smith through a letterbox. Nice change :thumbup1:
  16. Glad u removed that god awful vented headlight panel.
  17. I personally like using a standard front uk size plate made up using the same size lettering as used on the rear jap size plate which is a narrower stroke size and smaller spacing, then trim the entire plate down leaving a small margin around all 4 sides, totally legal and looks just right to me. Shame we need a plate at all really though.
  18. Does this mean we share that prize of $1000 in Z1 vouchers u mentioned for the first pics of a 2016 meet?
  19. Shame you couldn't make it Joel, get yourself a calendar and fill it with all z related dates and tell the family they need to work around those dates.
  20. Nice to meet you chris, thanks for sharing the pics, see you at the next one.
  21. Still munching your way through the xmas sweets I see
  22. Midday I believe mate.
