  1. But I wouldn't fit your chosen size if I'm honest.......
  2. I recently went for Michelin pilot sport 3, we will see how they perform this year.
  3. As said, ensure the ribbon has enough slack for the wheel to do a full lock to lock from straight ahead and you haven't broken the circuit through the ribbon it will be fine, nothing you could have done here will ever deploy the airbag.
  4. 1996 JDM 2+2 NA manual (converted)
  5. I'll be there for this for sure. :thumbup1:
  6. I don't want to sound negative here (I know it will) but honestly I think that body is scrap, I admire your effort to try and restore this zed but if your only going to repair bits like you have in the picture I think your wasting valuable time and money, it won't last a year before it needs more welding continuing on from where you have stopped, you must get rid of ALL the rot, and honestly that welding looks to be very poor quality mate, as said please don't take offence as none is intended, I just think this car needs to be laid to rest looking at the pictures. Body repairs on this level is tricky for a pro on a ramp, let alone up against the walls of a container.
  7. I'm after both front speaker covers for the door cards, must be in perfect condition.
  8. An arctic you say? Penguin? Iceberg?
  9. I went for the rear arms supplied with my meister r suspension (cyberspeed) very pleased with them, good quality well engineered. Nice looking welds, nice finish on them. Need to find adjustable toe arms now though for a NA subframe.
  10. Gone off topic here a bit now sorry
  11. It's possible that if there is no sleeve inside that bottom mounting then the close contact of aluminium on a steel pin could have caused enough corrosion to occur to swell that aluminium mounting and crack it. Is it white and chalky around that mount?
  12. I think Stephen has hit the nail on the head here, decide what you want to achieve and go from there, I would always buy the best your finances will allow, don't be tempted by cheap ebay rubbish, it's a Z32 after all!
  13. As a rule I wouldn't buy anything like this from eBay, I know there is the possibility of things made in the same factory etc etc, but for me I feel more comfortable buying from a proper retailer so if issues do arise at least you have someone to actually TALK to and get them resolved, I generally think ebay is the most likely place for crap. I orders my suspension from driftworks but never fitted any of it, I wasn't impressed with the quality of it, very poor cast threads, loose fitting generic rose joints with loose spacers rather than dedicated size joints for the location, they just weren't to my liking.
  14. Negative camber won't necessarily cause a premature wear on the inside shoulder of a tyre, more often this wear will be caused by a toe issue causing the tyre to scrub, camber doesn't cause the tyre to scrub so it's a slow rate of wear, incorrect toe causes scrub resulting in a rapid rate of wear.
  15. That's very reasonable if its a FULLY rebuilt box with a warranty, that fitted with a better oil cooler up front and a good check of wiring and ecu should last the life of the car if still stock and not abused.
  16. Second hand unit again in my opinion is a waste of time and money, get it rebuilt by a proper company and get a guarantee, simples.
  17. I didn't want to sound negative after your apparent success with the box but in my experience an oil and filter change on a auto Transmission very rarely sorts any problems, failure of an old transmission shortly after an oil change is quite common I'm afraid, please mate don't waste your time and money doing any checks or DIY repairs, it needs an overhaul or a manual conversion. trust me I've been there plenty of times. Sorry for your bad luck bud.
  18. Saw this zed today at 3:30 pm going up the broadway. Anyone we know?
  19. My first Zeds tweed was terrible on the knees...........:whistling:
  20. I made sure the radiator in he garage was set just right.... Is that obsessive?
  21. Maybe this mod was carried out whilst still flying high on the night out that the glow in the dark wrist band was from? Then just as he was beginning to come down he looked at the air fresher...... And did.
  22. Thanks mate but I think I've sourced a full set here in the uk. :detective:
  23. Yes this is why the op needs to check his emissions report, although not running 100% the emissions may be within spec if tested to the right criteria, at least it will produce a valid mot, then problems can be ironed out to get it back to full power.
  24. What was your initial test results for emissions?
  25. The VG30 is a very pleasant engine to look at IMO, both in stock form and modified if done correctly.
