  1. NOCO Genius 1 is all you need. Cheap and great.
  2. Welcome! Take a look here: Search - Concept Z Performance
  3. The rears don't have a banjo no
  4. Always nice to see one installed!! Glad you got on well with the install and are pleased. I think that looks right at home in your Z 😄
  5. Just a little request too when you get round to fitting guys - if you could take before and after pictures for me that would be great. Thanks.
  6. Looks like this is going to be a very unique and cool build to watch come together.
  7. Interested in wheel well shields, condition depending. Particularly the passenger side one though.
  8. Just wanted to let you know - I have acquired a set now so these are no longer needed but thank you for the offer.
  9. Correct, also in need of the rear 2+2 plastic finishers as one of mine has gone walkies. It's the piece that plugs the hole between the metal panel and the rest of the t-top. Thank you!
  10. From what I understand, that issue can affect operation of your power steering too. Hope you get to the bottom of it.
  11. They look better than faded ones regardless. Some told me they'd never notice the gap they leave. Others told me they didn't have the gap issue on theirs... but others did report the same as me. Also heard people saying they have metal showing through on theirs after only a few years. Overall they're good, considering there isn't really an alternative but you'll have to come to your own decision after wading through all the conflicting info about them. They served a purpose for me test fitting some end caps I created but I ultimately decided to keep my OEM set and just refurbish them. Simply because I didn't like the gap on mine. You might be luckier. Others are very happy with the Kuruma.
  12. That must have worked for him as he has sent me a PM now. Thanks for resolving.
  13. @brillo & @ianl - I have received both of your addresses now. Will be arranging to ship these out to you, hopefully later on today. I expect they will fit without issue, certainly after seeing the picture from Ian. However, please remember these are pre-release and I am providing them so I can fine tune the design for the SWB if necessary. If you could provide your feedback to me privately via PM, this will ensure I get a notification 🙂 Thanks for volunteering and remember to have some black silicone or similar on hand to complete the install. The caps come with instructions anyway but these don't cover removing/refitting your moldings. For that I recommend: Robo (onlinehome.us)
  14. Exciting times! Tan will look awesome.
  15. View Advert 2+2 - T-Tops Upon dismantling my T-Tops to fit new trims, I have found that the metal body portions need to be replaced as they are rusted through. I am looking for a solid pair of t-tops for the 2+2 to replace them. Colour does not matter as they will be repainted to match my car. What does matter is that metal is healthy. I only really require the metal part as I will be switching the glass, etc over from my existing tops. I understand and expect to pay whatever your price would be for a complete set of t-tops though. Please reach out if you have a set you would part with. Eager to get my car back on the road! 🙂 Advertiser Peage Date 12/09/23 Price Category Parts - Wanted
  16. @brillo & @ianl - Ian as yours were a modified set and Brillo has an unmodified set, I will send out a pair to both. If you are both happy to provide feedback and pictures of fitment for me? Could you both send me a PM with address information please? @Joely P - Not just yet, I'd like to confirm fitment across both SWB and LWB before listing the cap on my storefront. Will make sure this post is updates once they are live though 🙂
  17. Seems a perfect candidate yes. To confirm, when you say cut down, I assume you don't mean shortened in any way? Standard length trims on both sides?
  18. I have been working on a replacement end cap for the quarter window moldings for our cars. The ends of these moldings are covered by the weather stripping of the quarter window originally but these are sometimes torn and missing (as mine were), especially when the moldings have been removed, either for replacement with Kuruma Z items or when someone is refinishing their OEM moldings. This means you are left with a pretty ugly looking end of the trim and quite a large gap to the hatch, with a cut angle on the end of the molding which does not follow the angle of the hatch lid either. My design covers the cut of the molding, fills most of the space back to the hatch lid and matches the angle of the end of the molding to the hatch lid too. I have created the design using my own 2+2 and with my hands on a Kuruma Z set as well as OEM. What I am looking for (and I realise this may be hard to find in the UK and I may need to find someone in the US), is someone with a 2 seater who is in need of a set and would like to test fit my part to ensure good fitment on a 2 seater. It does not matter whether you would be fitting them to an OEM set or Kuruma set of moldings. They both measure the same, have very very similar profiles and the angle of the cut on the end is the same and this piece is designed to accommodate both. The cap is designed to seat itself correctly but requires the application of a small amount of black silicone or similar applied inside the cap to ensure final and fixed fitment. As with all of my parts, these are made with ASA plastic, which has high heat and UV tolerance, unlike ABS etc. What you will get is a set of free end caps, of course 🙂 If you'd like to see some of my other work, theres some here: autotun3D (@autotun3d) • Instagram photos and videos Here is a look at the product below. All pictures are shown fitted to my own refinished set of OEM moldings... 3D Model: "Raw" finish: Refinished to match my own refinished trims:
  19. I knew about these a little while back as I was developing the same thing with an electrical engineer friend of mine. I got in touch with Z1 to discuss potential market and distribution and they mentioned they were close to releasing their first prototypes and that it was a shame we were only just reaching out as they would have collaborated with us. They offered to include me in beta testing and I traded some notes with their product development director but as my car is not on the road at the moment I declined. We obviously shelved our project too, there is no competing with the might of Z1. From the work we did, it will be interesting to see how these do. There is a lot more than meets the eye with creating an accurate and safe MAF translator. I know from my internal discussions with them that they decided to base their maths on flow bench testing OEM MAFS to create their MAF curves rather than using the VQ tables as defined by Nissan and used by tuners. The key comes with understanding how the ECU is expecting voltage to fall within the VQ table ultimately though and their calculations and outputs in relation to that. Adequate shielding is important too and I know Selin had issues with electrical interference with HID ballasts in particular with their V1 of the Selin translator. I am sure they will work great, given they are clearly taking their time with development and testing of them and they have vast resources at their disposal.
  20. Think we misunderstood eachother. I thought you were saying you were pondering removing the loom completely. I was suggesting what you just said.
  21. That sucks. Shame the luck you have had. If you wanted to avoid the delay of sending it all back - you should be able to re-pin the connector to the ECU and switch around any incorrect pins if you have the right pick/tool. You'd probably want to trace and test almost everything though... but might be better than pulling the loom, waiting and then reinstalling.
  22. I got around to test fitting one of the Kuruma Z window moldings and they don't appear to fit flush to the body, nor can I make them do so. I hate the gap. Has anyone else fitted these and found the same or managed to remedy it? Ignore the dusty car - clearly been in my garage too long. Kuruma: OEM:
  23. I'd recommend getting in touch with a breaker. There's one here in the UK who is decent, I'm sure if you send them a message they'll tell you what you need and likely have it for sale. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/193810184515?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=EitzJ7zHQ6O&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=oOSkvvj_RDu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  24. I'd personally go with something more universally supported by all tuners. As above Link and Haltech seem to be the choice for most.
  25. I used and recommend the Z1 kit. It was showing unavailable as it is now but I contacted them and they confirmed they had all the bits needed and created a custom order for me. Might be worth emailing them. Not sure why it's permanently unavailable on their site. https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-products/z1-motorsports/z1-300zx-z32-complete-hicas-removal-kit-p-16785.html
