Both sides stripped down, all nuts came off but not taking any chances, I have a new kit for manifolds and turbos. Bit of a mess at the rear. God did it rain today so glad I bought a heavy duty tarpaulin yesterday, no chance of getting engine stand out.

Finally parts have arrived, but I’m sure I will find more that I need. Built engine hoist yesterday. Finally got the engine out, will start the strip down tomorrow, after a good clean up.

There are a few water pipes down there, Turbo water pipe, plenum little ones round the back. Look at pictures of rear of engine. Battery out would help see them.

How low can you go. Ready for take off. Most stuff disconnected, to my surprise exhaust bolts came off but it does not look like I needed them, they are not coming apart.

I do have the workshop manual in the car, it’s not very helpful with instructions only ever look at the pictures.
