  1. Is this that Restless KustomZ clown? Nash Meister, I believe he's called...?
  2. Congratulations!!
  3. £100 for an owner's manual?? Is this honestly the world we live in?
  4. I assumed the excitement was due to you finally sorting out your own Facebook profile...!!
  5. One of two reasons - either because they have an issue with the forum itself, or because they don't have to pay £20 to sell parts on Facebook. That's the simple truth.
  6. It's like Dragons Den in here....
  7. I'm out.
  8. After Joel was telling me about his £3k repair bill from his last magazine shoot, I'm not sure he'll be in a hurry to take part in another... :pinch:
  9. It's one of those necessary evils when it comes to owning a relatively complicated, specialist car. Unless you're handy with the spanners yourself, of course.
  10. Thought you had dibs on mine...?? ;)
  11. I'm up near Newcastle and I've travelled to both Powerzed and LA Autos and they're possibly the most worthwhile journeys I've made in my life! Lee Dent is about 4 hours away from me and Jimmer is at least 4.5 hours away. As Steve172cup has recently discovered, these cars need a specialist - he trusted his usual mechanic (who specialises in Cosworths) to change his timing belt. Not only did he pay over the odds for the work, but his belt was a tooth out too! He took it to Mr Dent after this and now his car's a peach instead of a lemon. If you're going to buy a Zed, be prepared to take it to a specialist. Simple as that. Steve had the same point of view as you; that the two guys above were both too far afield for him... he's learned his lesson the hard way now!
  12. I know Znut was asking about his old car not that long ago. Want to buy it back, fella? Here's your chance! :thumbup1:
  13. You'll be paying a decent price for that privilege. Most of the imports now seem to either be 94-95 or, very occasionally, 98-99. The latter, obviously, cost more.
  14. I thought it was the NAs that had the oil squirters under the pistons...?
  15. I'm fairly sure you were considering a TT swap into your old 99 Spec one....
  16. Congratulations - you're officially a Redneck!!
  17. You're turning into a right grumpy bugger these days, Dean!
  18. I've spoken to Mike in the last few days and he's currently looking at options for the bits I want to source :thumbup1:
  19. Your time would be better served not posting on here and doing what's necessary to save your email account!!
  20. If I want new bolts and things fitting to my Zed, I just have to leave it outside your house with the bonnet open....
  21. As far as I can see, the Z1 looms are Nissan originals. This is all just based on a conversation I had recently. As mine is currently unfitted, I have no issues but I just wanted to find out peoples' views and whether there were any issues.
  22. Following on from Richie's group buy last year, I'm now the owner of a brand new engine loom. :) Having spoken to someone recently about things, they're of the opinion that the WS looms are cheap Chinese things! Apparently the connectors are prone to breakage and the insulation unwinds itself after 6 months or so.... :( Has anyone who has one of these fitted got an opinion please? Whilst I've no doubts it'll be better than my current 25 year old Nissan loom, I don't really want to fit it if I'm going to have significant issues further down the line...
  23. All that photographer had to do was swing his lens about 8 feet to his left....
