  1. Yours aren't Recaro Speeds ;)
  2. Maybe he'd just like some answers? Do I agree with his tactics? No. Do I know exactly how he feels...? Oh yes! Meanwhile, back on topic - well done for trying as REO.
  3. Say it then.
  4. You should really be putting a layer of foam between the panel and the new vinyl, as Nissan themselves did.
  5. To the best of my knowledge, the Z32 floorpan didn't change over its production lifespan. So 1989 seats should bolt straight into a 2000 car (for example).
  6. I'm looking for a pair of (I believe) Series 2 front indicator units if anyone has some they'd like to sell. Mine were very poorly modified (butchered!) a couple of years ago and have now gone all rusty inside! It's the ones with the vertical lines on the lenses, not the "grid" style. They usually have provision for both an indicator and a sidelight, rather than just an indicator. Thanks. :)
  7. Are there even 5 in the UK...?
  8. A standard Chep size should be adequate, Tom. Get a pallet box and secure it on, then fill it with the seats.
  9. Ah right. I know Paisley Freight used to have a set cost for shipping 4 seats and no pallet was required, but they changed the policy a couple of years ago and made things much more difficult.
  10. If this is to come to me, should there not be more than just the seats...?
  11. I have an Infinity system on mine, Pete. Full 3" bore, custom-made X-pipe and the only silencers are the backboxes. I like it. It's not super-loud and it's not as droney as I expected it to be either. It's blatantly a 3" system though, so you're not going to hear pins drop. It's a well made system although they went for a somewhat abstract design for the rear pipework which isn't actually symmetrical.... Mine cost £750 all in from the turbo elbows back last year. Rumour has it that their pricing is creeping up nowadays though...
  12. I've gone with Evo 8 calipers and Evo 10 350mm discs. They fill my wheels nicely and the stopping power has very noticably increased.
  13. I only ever met Bill a couple of times but he came across as a genuinely nice guy. He actually asked me at JAE a couple of years ago if I could explain the attraction to these cars, and then his eyes just looked through me as I started talking at length...! I think I told him to ask you once I realised... Truly sorry to hear this, Trish. As Funky has said, I can believe that the 8 years you shared were packed full of fantastic memories.
  14. If it was my car, Lee, I'd make a set of 99 Spec replicas and tint the lower chambers. The car's lairy enough to get away from stock lights, but I'm not a fan of round taillights on these cars at the best of times.
  15. You should honestly be ridiculously proud of that car, Gary - it is hands down one of the nicest on here! Between you, Pete (Dougal), Si and Joel ( the Top 4 in my opinion), the rest of us mere mortals have a huge amount to try and live up to....
  16. Having recently changed to a smoked pair of repeaters, I have this pair of clear side repeaters for sale. They come complete with orange bulbs, harnesses and rubber mounting gaskets and everything is in great condition. Looking for £15 including Recorded Delivery. :)
  17. I didn't think manuals had one. Only automatics. Could be wrong, but I'm sure my research threw that tidbit up very recently.
  18. There's not an enormous amount I can add to this discussion, but I will say this: I don't do many shows as I'm usually too busy, but the local ones I do attend seem to draw a reasonable crowd to my Zed. People are either usually saying that it's nice to see such a good and tasteful example of a 300ZX, or they're asking what it is! To the general populace, these cars seem to be a pretty well-kept secret. For the time being (and even though prices are certainly on the rise), these are still a (comparatively) cheap Japanese performance car and, as such, they'll continue to attract owners who aren't as appreciative of the car's virtues as we are. If they want to debase their own car with cheap tat and chavvy mods, let 'em - as has already been said, that simply makes our well maintained examples look better and better.
  19. Has this happened where I think it's happened, John...?
  20. It's not so much the maintenance costs, Jay - it's more the fact that it's a lot of money to have sat on the drive for the bulk of its life. I don't want to sell her, Gaz. It's just looking increasingly as if that's going to be the best all-round option. It's a Type III TT lip.
  21. As I'm booked so far in advance, the work I'm doing at the moment was booked in long before I knew my overheads were going to increase. I thought I'd made that clear in my previous post. There's nothing I can do about that. As for the lip; I bought it before things took this turn. It's either sell it as soon as it arrives, or fit it. As I'm still not absolutely 100% certain that I'll have to sell, it'd be nice to see the thing fitted.
  22. All being well, my Stillen lip should be arriving this week at some point. :) Once it's painted and fitted, that should pretty much complete the exterior as far as I'm concerned. Then it looks very much as if she'll be going up for sale! I think I need to accept that I can't really afford to keep her, as much as I wish I could... with the new workshop and the fact that all the work I'm currently doing being priced as if I had minimal overheads, my finances are taking some pretty heavy hits right now. I honestly can't see another solution.
  23. Did you have a brand new clutch and whatnot fitted, Chris?
