  1. You want a tutorial on how upholstery seams can be sabotaged...? As for how far it goes in relation to risk, I've explained that in my opening post. As Dent doesn't do window tinting anyway, I'm not entirely sure what point you're trying to prove here.
  2. My old alloys were 9.5J and ET30 at the rear and they sat very slightly inboard of the arch lip. No rubbing whatsoever and not far off flush either. My current alloys are 10J and ET35 at the rear and the tyres have to have a stretch so as not to foul on the lip.
  3. My concern is that, as part of a seeming vendetta, damage could be done to seams (for example) and potentially be made to look like poor workmanship on my part. That is simply something I'm not prepared to leave myself open to, hence the disclaimer.
  4. Can we not just ban this maniac again?  :winkiss:
  5. As title; I need to turn this snow effect off but can't see how. Help please!
  6. This doesn't involve competition; this is just about someone who's proven themselves absolutely untrustworthy on virtually every conceivable level. The disclaimer simply protects me should any of his customers (some of whom are also participants in my group buy) sustain any "damage" to their newly-trimmed cabins whilst their Zed is in his hands. It's very sad, but I feel it's necessary in this instance.
  7. I'm only a few months late in getting started on this group buy work, but it will be starting next month. :) There is, however, now a catch for all of those involved... As many will no doubt be aware, my name has not been spoken in a nice manner at LA Autos in Shrewsbury for quite a while now. Mr Lee Dent has been incredibly vocal regarding both me personally and my business. This seems to have culminated in threats being made (to third parties, obviously) a couple of months ago. Call me suspicious if you will, but I can't help that think if someone turned up at his place to have work done with a lovely new interior in their Zed (courtesy of me), he could see an opportunity to damage it as a means of getting back at me. It's not beyond the bounds of reason in my opinion. To that end, I will be asking EVERY participant in the group buy to sign a disclaimer. This will basically absolve me and my business of any responsibility for their interior work should they choose to use Lee Dent or LA Autos and said interior sustains any damage whilst there. I can't control who people use for their mechanical work, but I can protect my business! I don't want to do this by any means. But that's how it's going to be, I'm afraid. If any participants are unhappy with this, feel free to PM me to discuss it. In the meantime, I'll be contacting everyone to start arranging dates and whatnot. :thumbup1:
  8. Mondo replied to craig's topic in Events - UK
As a "new event," the Northern one sounds good. There's some great roads and scenery around the Lakes and the Dales. :thumbup1:
  9. Neither. We were just chatting about his workload in general and your car was discussed. All in a good way, don't worry. :thumbup1:
  10. It must've been your car we were discussing last night then. :)
  11. Jimmer at Powerzed's your best man now. :thumbup1:
  12. Has your mechanic struck yet again, buddy...?!
  13. I said: And she said: My comment was, luckily, 100% factually correct. And not in the least bit bitchy either! A drift car, by definition, has a hard life. Kinda the nature of the beast, really. Drifting doesn't really suggest a cosseted and leisurely life. And a "donut session" usually involves high revs and suchlike, and Lexx and I watched this very session and the car did indeed get hammered for a short period. I'll never understand people who see one thing written down and then interpret it as something completely different and get all precious about it. Bizarre!
  14. Expressing an interest here :thumbup1:
  15. I have a brand new pair of upper rear camber arms for sale. Never fitted and I plan to go a different route now. £45 delivered to your door.
  16. I was looking at this earlier. Can something honestly be described as "a barn find" when the seller himself put it in the barn 4 years ago...?
  17. I currently have a 8.5" wide wheel on the front which is ET35. I've fitted a 20mm spacer to bring it flush with the arch. My rears are 10" wide and again ET35 and they sit perfectly flush. Based on that, I'd say that you'd need spacers front and rear to make them flush, but there shouldn't be any issues with caliper clearance unless you have bigger brakes fitted.
  18. I could never get any kind of response from them!
  19. I have an Infinity system on my Zed and they did a great job for a great price. The modifications they did at a later date to suit the new downpipes were a completely different story, both in quality and cost!
  20. Somebody just as camp, I reckon...
  21. I went for the AMS 3" expansion downpipes, Tom. A replica of the Speciality Z ones, but obviously cheaper. Aside from a small tap from a hammer being required during fitting, I've had no issues whatsoever and they've obviously helped my breathing. :thumbup1:
  22. That explains why that numberplate wasn't available when I looked a couple of years ago! Nice looking car :thumbup1:
  23. As long as you're a happy new owner, then it's all gravy. :) Good to meet you today, Scott - happy to help out and I hope your new moneypit gives you a big smile every time you go out in her!
  24. That's my second Zed. I was referring to my old black one... ;) Why would Yanks want to import RHD Zeds when they have a plethora of LHD ones already there...? Unless people over there really want a turbocharged "station wagon" instead of a proper Zed....
