Hi all,

So, some of you may already have picked up on the fact i got myself another Zed last month against all odds & after saying i'd never have one again and selling the contents of my garage!

Turns out after my accident in April & being completely heart brocken having written my car (of 10 years) off i understandably became a miserable B**t**d (according to the wife). Having sold what spare parts i'd collected over the years i'd resigned myself to never owning another Z32. However, having recovered from the accident my wife began to encourage me to look for another car to cheer me up. So i started looking at the alternatives SKylines, Supras, S13 & S14's but nothing really did for me and the ones that did were well out of my price range (Jap Tax is well and truely on the rise!)

Couple of months passed by, started visiting this site more and ended looking at Zed's again..... Although there are some lovely examples out there i didnt want to spend to much, wanted a bit of project to work on and make my own but i will also be continuing to use it for drifting (much to the dismay of some of you on here im sure). Eventually after much searching i came across a car that is known on here and has been owned by a couple of members. However the young lad that had it when i found it, didnt know what he really had, the problems its got, where to start and his mrs had told him to sell it, he drove it once then it sat in his garage covered & filled with crap for 4 months!

So ive gone on long enough now, here she is..

K222 PUP she's a 1996 N/A previously owned by Coconat (Natalie) but prior to that & the one most will remember was Nferriera (Nelson)

Nelson spent a fair bit of money & time on her years ago and she was lovely condition, however since then she's had a bit of hard life being used a drift car by Natalie. Body wise all is good although the BGW will be going and the bonnet & boot could do with a respray. The rear interior has been stripped out but il will be putting rear seats back in (to take the kids to meets & events) thanks to the kind donation of ianl. There's a fair bit of work to do rusty sills and a steering issue being the worst & a few more little jobs here & there, more details of which will come up in Help & Advice section in time to come.

Yes i know she's an N/A and my previous was a TT & i will miss that boost but my 1st Zed 15 years ago was an N/A & i loved it + i said fancied a bit of a change lol

Apologies for rambling on, just feels great to be able to share this, be back in a Zed again & feel like a part of the club again... Few more pics for you

The BGW will be removed very soon!

I'd just like to add, if it hadnt of been for the unrivalled support & encouragement of my wonderful mrs. & the fact she loves them too, this would never of happened.

I'll soon be on the Help & Advice section with questions i'm sure.

Cheerz

James

That car has had a supremely hard life, James - me and Lexx watched her hammering it around the tarmac outside her old unit a couple of years ago!

Hopefully it'll serve you well though :) Welcome back!

Welcome back James and I hope the problems are not too serious.

Welcome back James, I'd say it feels good to be back in one, I think it looks well in white with the 99 spec front:thumbup1:

  • 1 year later...

I gave it a few circles in the snow once, and a donut session outside my unit... hardly hammering it :glare: I'll never understand people who bitch about others but won't say it to their face.

Came to find this thread and see if my old girl was being looked after..pleased to see she is! I miss her every day and I regret selling the car, but I had to in order to buy a PS13 which I found easier to drift (I loved this car and was too stubborn to admit it struggled!)

If you ever have any questions about it don't hesitate to contact me (natalie.younger@Hotmail.com) please love her..I regret ever letting the car go, if you ever find yourself wanting to sell her I beg that you contact me first and give me a chance to have her back so I can keep her as my daily. Otherwise, enjoy her James :)

My comment was, luckily, 100% factually correct. And not in the least bit bitchy either!

A drift car, by definition, has a hard life. Kinda the nature of the beast, really. Drifting doesn't really suggest a cosseted and leisurely life. And a "donut session" usually involves high revs and suchlike, and Lexx and I watched this very session and the car did indeed get hammered for a short period.

I'll never understand people who see one thing written down and then interpret it as something completely different and get all precious about it. Bizarre!

Its prob had an easy life compared to any TT on here, cant leave a junction without the arse going out. Who gives a f anyway it looks sweet as a nut. @coconat, thts interesting i find z32 way more controllable than s13 or s14 chassis. Got a pic of your ps13 used to have a few
