  1. Not that kind of garage, Paul.
  2. I have a friend called Charlotte who worked as a Grid Girl a few years back. She's tall, slim and very pretty indeed. She got offered the job as one of the regulars had had to drop out for a personal reason and they suggested that Charlotte get a try. So she got kitted up in the skimpy outfit and the revealing top and paraded herself at the racetrack. She loved it!! So much so, in fact, that got scouted by a modelling agency at a later whilst at the track and is now carving herself a decent career as a model out in Australia! All because she was given the opportunity to "showcase" herself as a Grid Girl and make the best possible use of her genetic gifts. :) Fact is: sex sells. Anyone who says different is quite simply lying to themselves. If women wants to use their "assets" to garner attention, all power to them. Men like to look (as a general rule) and women like to be looked at. Will The Powers That Be start banning all these Butlers In The Buff? That objectifies men who work hard at the gym and who are, understandably, proud of their physiques and we can't have anyone being objectified for being attractive now, can we...? Goodbye to the Dream Boys and the Chippendales... no more cheescake featured in movies or TV series... We'll all be wearing burkas at this rate. But then someone will take offence when they're told "You've got nice eyes".... The world is well on its way to becoming a hilarious and, at the same time, highly alarming place and that doesn't make me happy one bit!
  3. The first one starts (finally!) next month... I think we can safely say I over-extended myself with little venture....!
  4. Did Jimmer do all the engine work?
  5. Quite possibly!! I can see no reason why not....
  6. This was something I wondered about, actually! Appreciate the responses and opinions, folks. :thumbup1:
  7. I'm currently debating doing away with my boot spoiler and going wingless. What are peoples' thoughts please? I know that, arguably, the SWB is the better suited platform for this anyway. Just wondered what others' thoughts might be... :)
  8. Having seen the current discussions on Facebook about Darren's workmanship and competence, are you confident...? I'd be getting my stuff out of there pronto, personally!!
  9. CJ won't be seeing that for a few years then... :whistling:
  10. It could be his best move to be in charge of the welding himself, Rich. It's starting to seem that there are very few trustworthy or competent bodyshops around for these cars now....
  11. Jimmer's certainly had issues with his latest bodyshop but, after a pep talk from yours truly, it turns out that he's actually an incredibly competent welder in his own right! So I think he's going to be tackling welding himself, rather than farming it out to others. :)
  12. When it's on the road, you can bring it to work and I'll see what can be done.
  13. 2nd and 4th pictures of the green one. Kish should hang his head over that shonky finish!
  14. This thread should be preserved for posterity as I believe it to be the only occasion in history where you've come off the fence and given an opinion about somebody!! I was talking to PPS' owner a few months ago about Mac1's car. I didn't realise until that point that he (Peter Hunter) was the guy responsible for so many wide-arch conversions back in the day.
  15. I'm more interested in that old CRX in the background - little training shoe on wheels, those things! :)
  16. Back to school you go....
  17. Does anyone know any of the proper names of the various cloths used in the Z32 throughout the production run...? I'm not talking "Tweed" or "Velour" here - I mean the actual names that Nissan use to identify the different fabrics used. I'm hoping Andrew or Funky (or other old skoolers) will be able to help with this one :)
  18. It's happening, don't worry! :thumbup1:
  19. The water's in the rubber though, Joel. It could be resealed presumably, but the dealer he bought the car from was meant to sort this out (as well as the issue with the viscous fan) but all they've done is painted it! Personally, I'd be taking it back to them as the full list of issues that he and I presented to them obviously hasn't been sorted....
  20. I told you this would happen. Water is now in the spoiler and that's that; it'll continue to bubble and eventually rot. And it'll likely take your bootlid with it! That's why Jimmer was saying that the spoiler needed replacing rather than repairing. Might be time for your "big wing" sooner rather than later....
  21. I thought the seller had sorted the spoiler for you? Or is that why it's a different colour?
  22. What are peoples' thoughts on having different diameter wheels on the two axles? 18" front and 19" rear, for example? I seem to remember it was quite a popular thing for SW20 MR2s back in the day, but how about on our beasties...?
  23. S1 controls don't allow you to set where the air comes from, aside from the windscreen vents. If you have an ambient temp display on the pod and a "Hi / Lo" setting for the heater fan, you have S1 controls.
