Hello all!

My first post here, and I'm hoping somebody might be able to help me out with sourcing a Z32 300ZX for a magazine feature.

What I'm after is a standard (or at least standard-ish...) twin-turbo model, preferably a UK car although that's not a deal-breaker. It's for a twin-test in a reputable big-budget national mag alongside another Japanese car of the same period. Cryptic enough for you?!

Here's where it gets even more fun... you and your car will ideally be based in London/Surrey-ish, or at least able to happily travel there for the shoot (travel costs can be expensed within reason), with the car in tip-top condition and ready to be driven/shot within the next couple of weeks or so. And if at all possible, it'd be preferable if it was a light colour rather than dark, for reasons of, er, art.

What do you reckon - achievable request, or a madman's dream?

Joely's car is reasonably OEM based in essex somewhere and won car of the year (club) and the AGM prize for something... And also at Simply Japanese won the favourite car out of 1500+ cars, remarkable standard his car is. (red)

On the other hand Andrew has a UK spec with OEM body based in surrey, but with some improvements here or there to the car. Which also is of a very high standard. (blue)

Then FunkySis car (white jap) and some others...

Hi,

I can think of a great UK model owned by AndrewG on here, the only box it doesn't tick is the colour, (Metallic blue). Or we have a another car owned by JOELYP which is a red JSPEC example.

After Joel was telling me about his £3k repair bill from his last magazine shoot, I'm not sure he'll be in a hurry to take part in another... :pinch:

Sorry, what! That's a story to be told...

How 'standard-ish' are we talking.......:whistling:

I'm sure there's something standard on your car at least? A bolt somewhere maybe?

There's a fair bit actually!

£3k repair bill?! Crikey, that must have been some shoot. Fear not, we're not planning any airborne shots or extreme drift angles... rev limiters will remain untroubled.

Joely P, would you mind PMing me an email address so we can discuss? Thanks :)

Thank you for the responses everyone, much appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the club Dan!

And yes, cryptic enough... Would this have anything in common with certain e-mails between a certain Mr Chadwick and me, per chance....?

As the UK's only 300zx Z32-specific club, you have come to the right place - we have some damn fine cars here - and some great members; all of whom would be proud to help out; given the chance.

Richard:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Well, once it's back from the paint shop in April I'll be happy to offer it. :)
