  1. anyone know where you get these seperately???.......have been told you have to buy complete arms.surely somewhere does them seperately cos they canbe removed from the arm.
  2. Mines got plastic trim on both lower arms :)
  3. Converted mine to manual a few months back, but do miss that second gear punch that the auto had.
  4. Perhaps its just Beatrix (my zed) being fussy!, LOL :)
  5. definately running a lot better now than it did with the iridiums in...........how can a plug thats too short be as effective as one thats the correct lenght?, and we're talking a good few mm shorter.
  6. Were ok at first but havent lasted long at all.....would never use them again.would check the lenght if I was you, as would say if they arent long enough as mine werent the spark wouldnt be very effective.
  7. Yes you did mate......but you know what young pups are like, they never listen!.would have saved myself time and money if I had :(, I wont make that mistake again :)
  8. This topic has probably been done to death, but here it goes..... Following on from jeffs advice at zedworld on wednesday (new cambelt, waterpump and thermostat fitted.......thanks all at zedworld :) ) bought a set of standard platinum NGK plugs and changed them today. The irdium NGK's that came out were the ones listed for a zed, but look at the difference! Cant get over how much shorter the iridiums are!.The engine is now running so much better throughout the rev range, feels more powerful and its cured my lumpy idle, so thanks jeff........i will be giving iridium plugs a wide berth! :)
  9. If you got civic bits coming out of your ears i'd go down that route......better than stuffing the zed into a tyrewall or armco :)
  10. May be worth trawling the breakers, as very similar to a vectra one :)
  11. seen that end in tears sooooo many times!.Worked at a Yamaha dealers for a year and the amount of new riders that bought R1's etc and ended up in a ditch within a couple of months was unreal and quite scary. Gonzo...the above is no reflection on all riders, just my experience, and no disrespect intended :)
  12. If the car has been stood for a good while i would try fresh fuel, as going by the gauge there isnt a lot in it.Modern fuel doesnt keep like it used to, and goes stale. oil pressure looked low as well, or is that just the gauge?
  13. These are 18" Rays off a 350z as fitted to my zed, fit straight on.......they are the pukka forged ones and only weigh around 17kg each and were fitted to the 350z Track model.
  14. The topic is over over a year old mate :)
  15. Looks silver in the pic.......not black! ;) welcome to the club John :)
  16. I would have said if the cas is turned fully anticlockwise it compensating for the timing being out, if my understanding of how it works is correct.............
  17. Looks good mate :)......... Saw a 1/12th scale kit on ebay.com but it was $700!!!. Got a Tamiya 1/25th Panther tank under the bed waiting to be finished :)
  18. Just spent hours dodging the rain to clean the old girl.........so if it p#ss's it down overnight shes coming dirty!, cant be doing all that polishing business again!.
  19. That will probably be around the same time as me, maybe a bit earlier :)
  20. Wouldnt use anything other than a torque wrench :) Checked the discs with a dti this morning and they were warped so got them reskimmed and they are now perfect.just got to do some steady miles now to bed the pads in.Also took the opportunity to repaint all the calipers so it all looks spot-on :)
  21. Evening folks, today I fitted 350z Track discs with caliper relocation brackets and 300zx calipers. The discs have been skimmed, but the brake pedal pulsates when braking and the car shakes if braking from any sort of speed. Can the discs being the wrong way round (check out the grooves in the photo, drivers side) cause this, or could it be a sticking caliper?.Braking was fine with old setup by the way. Going to get a dial gauge on them tomorrow, just thought someone might have an idea if the discs are 'handed', left and right.
  22. LOL!!!,give me something else to do another day......will be under there again soon as the bushes for my rear hub carriers have arrived, aloong with my new pcv valves etc. :).Off to get the tracking etc done tomorrow, as set the arms to the same lenght as the stock ones but want to get it all spot on :)
  23. Got round to fitting my adjustable front control arms, camber arms and tension rod bushes.......would have taken more pics but my mitts were covered in crap and was pushed for time :) Once again thanks to Lee Dent of L.A Autorepair in Shrewsbury for the use of the workshop :) Also fitted a chromed balance bar(cheers zx-tt) and a chromed bonnet catch the other day :)
  24. If you are changing to a manual box from an auto its a bit more involved......if its an auto out auto in its a straightforward swop.
  25. as far as i know no zeds have an oil pressure warning light on the dash as standard..........i think uk ones have a transmission oil warning light though, could be wrong as mines jdm :)
