Cheers for the replies guys, took all the rough off it yesterday with abrasive flapwheels in a drill, then progressed with various needle files and about 4 different grades of wet and dry.found the best thing to use with the wet and dry was clean 10w40!........then attacked it with loads of t-cut metal polish.going to leave it bear and keep on top of it as I polished a v6 calibra plenum and laquered it and after a while the laquer yellowed from the heat. Wouldnt do another one unless there was a couple of days wages in it for me! :)

After 2 days of hard graft my plenum is now shiny.........and ive got no fingerprints left!, lol. Pretty much all done by hand as well! :)

Had a look through my manual and doesnt mention it, not sure if mine is an earlier version or not.can you post a pic of the front of it?.

oh my god!.......ive just done a bit of wee!.68 camaros, barracudas, mustangs etc...what more could anyone want?.Not sure about the mustang stationwagon though!. Who cares they dont go round corners when they have those awesome engines under the bonnet. In the late sixties/early seventies you could go and buy a car from most dealerships in the states and order it with more performance parts than you would know what to do with, including cams,carbs, manifolds etc,even superchargers!........imagine being able to do that today!.

Hes a forum member with his own business in Shrewsbury.......with a wealth of mechanical knowledge plus a passion for zeds :) Hes done a fair bit on my TT for me, especially a manual conversion, wiring etc etc and is first rate :)

Have you got the user manual for it?, if you have there should be a troubleshooting section in it.if you havent you should be able to download it off the internet.will have a look at my manual when I get home and see if it says anything.it could be it needs setting up again.what model is it?.

I got the discs (324mm) as part of a package off a member off here, but you can get EBC ones for around £170 off ebay and the Brembo calipers I got for £300 the pair off ebay.

350z front Brembo setup is easy to fit, just need to drill caliper bolt holes on the hub from 12mm to 14mm.heres mine with 18" forged Rays from a 350 :)

I think you you get done for a numberplate offence three times dvla can withdraw your reg and issue you with a Q reg.thats what used to happen, not sure if its changed.

Believe it or not, but herons and other waterbirds can actually carry fish eggs from one place to another.a pool I used to fish was stocked with carp, roach,tench and bream but ended up with pike and perch in it!, and that was a syndicate water and nobody put pike and perch in it!.

Once a date of manufacture has been put on the v5 by dvla I cant see them changing it.surely dvla went off the information the original owner supplied them with to re-register it in this country?.

Cos jdm spec and uk spec use a different unit of pressure.uk spec is in psi and jdm is kg/cm2 iirc

So if you payed for a full assessment of your zed and that corrosion wasnt at the very least verbally pointed out you wouldnt be p#ssed off!, I know I would be..........and that would be on any car, not just a zed.And dont rule out rust just because its been garaged.......these things can go from the inside out :)

Thats about right, I did 650 miles the other week doing a week in yorkshire and averaged 23 mpg.thats no worse than my old 3.0 v6 calibra!. :)

I have 350z Track discs (324mm) and 350z Brembos on the front of mine, and all you need to do to fit them is remove or trim the disc guard and drill the caliper bolt holes from 12mm to 14mm as the 350z caliper bolts are thicker.As the the rears I believe there is a fair bit of work involved to get the 350z rear setup to fit. Heres my front setup, complete with 350z forged 18" Rays

Very common to get a dry joint or two in the window module, had it on my and after a quick resolder it was perfect :)

Might sound daft but check the switch for the window lock on the drivers side, if this is down the passenger window wont work :)
