  1. As steams has said the pcv hoses have got flame arrestors (little wire brush things, look like a chimney sweeps brush........the two hoses off the front of the camcovers have these in) and restrictors in them....the only one with nothing in it is the one at the rear of the passenger side head, but its tapered (also a bit awkward to replace).Worth changing them all if doing pcvs as well, mine were well knackered when i did them and they'd gone rock hard. after changing them all the engine was noticeably smoother and quieter. I think i kept the packets they came in with the part numbers on.....will have a look later :)
  2. I bought some poorboys natty wax and its brilliant on black paintwork, very easy to apply and buffs easy with no white marks.......smells like bubblegum too! :)

  13. Will have a look at it once my plenums off.......one thought I have got is an angled tee and doing away with the cruise control cable bit on the throttle linkage (ive binned the cruise control on mine) to see if that gains more clearance or see if I can mod the ends of the rail at the back of the engine to somehow create a 360° rail.........must be a way round it somehow with a bit of brazing etc :)
  14. Not many replies!......any more?. :)
  15. My gearbox was a little noisey when I fitted it but added some molyslip gearbox additive and that sorted it out.ive used molyslip in loads of manual geatboxes and diffs (not lsd diffs though!) and its good stuff :)

  18. Pontiac gto is a rebadged Holden Monaro/Vauxhall Monaro.....all virtually identical except for the badge.A lot of Pontiac owners rebadge them as Holdens, same as some uk owners. 'Fear' is most definately a Monaro......its owned and run by Fred Watson in Western Australia and has had various colour schemes over the years.....the best one being gloss black.check Fear out on youtube, its hell of a piece of kit :)
  19. This is what you call a supercharged Monaro!!!.......:)
  20. Worth every penny :) For 20k id have a Monaro VXR500, in black, with a wortech supercharger conversion :)
  21. Base idle for a manual tt is 650 rpm with the yellow block connector removed from the idle valve.once its set at 650 rpm plug the connector back in with the engine still running and revs will automatically pick up to around 750 rpm as the ecu takes ov er control of the idle speed :)
