  1. Nice when it works as it should.......i did the same with mine as I had two spots that needed resoldering.i need to look at the timer control unit next, as my intermittent wiper doesnt work.
  2. took the drivers side pcv and hose off earlier and both contained some oil, which was quite clean.I hope this is the cause of the smoke and not turbo seals.if it was the turbo seals would it not smoke at other times rather than just on idle?............
  3. around 700 miles ago, thereabouts.
  4. Have got a smoke problem on idle, when engine is warm.i changed the pcv valves and all the hoses the other week and habe heard it can take 500 miles for them to clear....is this true?.smokes worse on the drivers side, but only on idle, once you drive up the road it clears.smoke is whitey grey in colour and smells oily with a hint of fuel, dont appear to be losing oil or coolant.
  5. Sounds like a problem I had the other week.........check the connector on the coolant temp sensor for corrosion/loose connection :)
  6. No it isnt mate..........rich wins!, lol :)
  7. im not on any cos im an antisocial git!, LOL :) On a serious note i found facebook to be more trouble than it was worth so knocked it on the head.
  8. Cheers guys  see you when i get back Lee........ps if i get a parcel at the unit put it up safe for me :)

  11. pcv valves, maf sensor connections, coilpack connectors
  12. Functional rather than pretty with mine.......grid jdm boost controller, greddy turbo timer, apexi boost gauge and jecs multichecker all wherei can see them :) nearly forgot the apexi rev/speed meter with wired in shiftlight :)
  13. No problem matey, all the best and hope to see you again soon sam :)
  14. Thats cos I have loads of practice.....got a NVQ level 3 in teamaking!, lol Will do matey, will bring some rock and biscuits back with me :). Tony, leave it until after a week on Monday and i'll be back then! :)
  15. I work with Lee and its typical you go on the day im not there!, if I had have been you'd have had a really good cup of tea!, lol.Lee has helped me out a lot with mine and really knows what hes doing. Will have to come and see you one of the days tony, would be nice to meet you :)
  16. i think it would be tight........i fitted Toyo uprated smic's and they are huge compared to stock ones, got to be getting on for nearly twice the size and had to delete the carbon canister on the passenger side to get one in.I would say that uprated smic's would be of more benefit and more practical than trying to get 4 stock ones in there. Just to give you an idea my boost was set at 14.5psi with stock intercoolers........after fitting the Toyos it hit 17psi at the same rpm and i had to turn the boost controller down!
  17. Sounds like the seals have hyperextended (piston travels too far and the lip on the seal(s) flip over and prevent the seal from sealing
  18. On the good old TA-02 chassis..........i had a Keke Rosberg DTM Calibra on the same chassis, didnt notice on the zed but on the Calibra TA-02 it was 4 wheel drive with a diff front and rear. Was pretty quick when the battery was fully charged.
  19. My needle hits +7 and begs for mercy as it tries to keep going! :)
  20. Used to own a 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass that had been imported from New Mexico and found a shrivelled up Tarantula in the boot!.........was a big bugger as well but thankfully long dead.
  21. Welcome ryan, sounds like a very good buy.im very pround of my zeds jdm pedigree, but you must be made up to know the name of the japanese owner and where in japan it was from originally.i think mine was from the kyoto area, going by a toll road card and receipt I found in the sunvisor pocket.enjoy her mate and post some more pics :)
  22. They are a pushfit over the hub carrier and just one half-arsed spotweld, tapped the weld with a sharp chisel to split it and pulled the shield off. Bled the full system today as the pedal went a bit spongey overnight, got some more air out and all good now :), just got to let the pads bed in but brakes already have more 'feel' than they did before with the standard setup.
  23. Fired them off completely, as they werent the best and figured it wouldnt do the brake cooling any harm :)
