  1. To be honest they stick out a little bit more at the bottom than the oe ones, but its not noticeable unless you get right up to them.
  2. Energy Suspension ones from Zcentre, £85+VAT.Will only be using the ones that fit in the hub carriers (bottom shock, upper arm and traction arm bushes) as my new arms are all rose-jointed and have a Driftworks Hicas eliminator to go on........but buying the full kit eorked out cheaper than buying the individual bushes I need. Also got rear wheel bearing grease seals and new PCV valves (and hoses) on order.
  3. Have done a few more jobs this week.......got my crystal rear lights fitted, stripped my spare rear subframe and repainted it, pressed all the bushes etc out of the hub carriers ready for the polybushes, got my reverse light switch wired up,done some more waxoyling underneath, change the windscreen trim strips and given the old girl a wash and polish!......oh..and washed my Fairlady Z mats! Once I get my polybush kit for the rear I can get my subframe rebuilt with the new ajustable arms etc and get it bolted on, the on to the front end!.......once I start to rebuild the subframe i'll post up some more pic :) Must say a big thank you to Lee Dent of L.A Autos in Shrewsbury for use of his workshop, a real star and highly recommended for anyone in the Shrewsbury area that require servicing or repairs :)
  4. Dont want 350z seats........have seen some Bride seats on 350z subframes for sale that all :)
  5. As per the title, anyone know if they will fit?.
  6. I would be tempted.....but i had a 1/10th Tamiya DTM Calibra and never used it.
  7. if you removed the inlet manifold it could have an air leak.
  8. Got baileys on mine, and quite subtle and not overly loud.i got black anodised ones with the fitting kit which contains more than enough bits and bobs to fit them :)
  9. Yes mate, 732 black pearl metallic iirc.same as mine :)
  10. My zed came into the country in 2006 and just stuck my hand in the sun visor pocket and found a japanese receipt and a road toll card!........anybody else found anything japanese in theirs?
  11. its sotherbys or bonhams for you i think!........:)
  12. Just found this and actually did a bit of wee!!!.........you can stick a sodding speedboat with this! ;)
  13. if you can ride bikes id buy a RD350LC for the summer and develope an addiction the powerbands and two-stroke fumes! :) EDIT....forgot the why part........cos a 350LC is as cool as penguin s#it and madder than a box of frogs with party hats!!! :)
  14. I would check the balance bar is seated correctly and not drawing in air.......then check the cable adjustment on the cruise control.as these are the two components you have worked on thats probably where the fault lies :)
  15. Castrol edge 5w40 fully synthetic in mine.....£35 from Asda Home at the moment!, going to get some more tomorrow at that price :)
  16. Give all the targa seals a wipe with groundnut (peanut) oil, worked a treat on mine.....cost around £2.50 s bottle from tescos :).
  17. i have got 225/45/18's front and 245/45/18's rear and run 34psi front / 36psi rear
  18. Have got a Mocal oilcooler on mine, worth every penny :)
  19. Could be a plug(s) breaking down under load, id try a new set if they haven't been changed for a while as the new coils could be putting them under extra load.
  20. Have got Falkens allround on my zed and they grip like hell and are very surefooted in the wet :)
  21. One thing to consider is a n/a converted to a tt would probably cost more to insure than a tt from the factory as it would be classed as modified.
  22. Hi silverline and welcome.........dont know if you remember but I had the 300zx rear trim panel off you and you showed me around your workshop a while back, iirc you had an awesome Celica in there.
  23. As title, was coming off the island heading towards Ratcliffe-on-Soar.Looked like a lwb jdm tt.
  24. The main part of Hicas is the 'steering rack' bolted to the rear subframe, which is connected by pipes to a pump mounted under the bonnet in the area next to the powersteering fluid reservoir in the engine bay.You can delete the hicas by removing the rack at the back and replacing it with a hicas eliminator (driftworks do a popular one), fitting a powersteering pump off an n/a (with a tt pulley) along with a n/a powersteering fluid reservoir (i believe you can modify tt ones as well) and you can remove all the pipework as well.
  25. under the upper tract of the inlet manifold, on the right as you look at the engine from the front.iirc you need to remove the inlet tract and the expansion tank for the coolant.often a good clean out with an aerosol carb cleaner will sort it out, as the valve get gummed up especially if the car does a lot of short stop/start journeys and is a common fault on vauxhalls.Failing that it can be blanked off, have a look on migweb or vauxhallownersnetwork and you are bound to find a 'how to'.hope this helps :)
