Spent most of the day at the show today, what a fantastic array of cars. My daughter and I planned it so as to spend the last hour at our 300zx stand, what a great idea that was. (wish we could have stayed longer, we really do!) I know there has been discussions about the cars that should or shouldn't be representing the club, but I would like to draw attention to the owners. When my daughter and I arrived at the stand, our welcome was outstanding to say the least. So I would like to thank them all for making our day really special, it was a pleasure to chat with you guys, it really was. (so much so we nearly missed our train home) Big thanks guys,... Joel, Graham, Craig, Simon (Mondo), to name but a few. I also met 2 or 3 new faces who also gave me a warm welcome. (apologies, but I cannot recall your names, I'll do some research and amend later) Well done you guys, brilliant. Thanks Alic.. It was indeed Ash and Ian. Also Jaikai. Wish I had allowed myself more time now.

I was really hoping whoever it was, is a member on here. It would have been great to have someone local to swap knowledge with.

How do I measure the pipework? is it the bore you are referring to or the outside diameter? I currently have Japspeed downpipes, just a little unsure as to the diameter. It would be nice to use the existing and sell on the new ones.

So, I have been contemplating buying some divorced test pipes and downpipes. Maybe we should give the youth of today a little more credit. I know from my experience, that although they challenge what we see as the norm, sometimes they can supprise us older folk. As for the corrosion? As Si says, it will be a lot worse on the inside compared to what you see now. I know this from bitter experience, having spent 4 years on the driveway removing heaps of corrosion from both the rear arches and the front areas of the floor pan. All I would say Alic is, take your time and don't rush in mate.

Due to this, the 300zx should be put through a BET examination (Basic Emissions Test) with Co2 readings of 3.5% or less as mentioned earlier. Also, if I understand correctly, this only needs to be done at idle also unless the hydrocarbon limit is exceeded.

Not being much of a techie, but I would love a walk through explanation on how to use some of the special functions when posting replies. Things like multiple quotes in between replies, and also part quotes etc' Something I guess comes easy to some, but to me, not so. Doh Thanks in advance.
