Great new thread Si. :thumbup1: I am a big fan of stock originality also. Looking forward to your progress.

Don't always give up on obsolete stock.
Good question, I was just about to ask the same thing.

What did you do to your zed today?
Cheers mate, As you say, I will pull and check the injector connections along with the coil pack ones, hopefully it is something that simple. I do have DataScan, if I can get my laptop to fire up, so will try a power test on each cylinder to try and isolate the misfire. Failing that, I will try and listen with the screwdriver method. Problem is, it is intermittent, every 20 seconds or so. Hopefully I will be able to catch it happening.

What did you do to your zed today?
Makes sense Andrew, would that account for the initial loss of cylinders? Did sound quite rough. As for the persistent misfire, I think I will try swapping the left hand coil packs for the right and vise versa. See if the the misfire moves over to the right.

What did you do to your zed today?
Fired mine up for the first time in 4 months, sounded like a bag of bolts. Sounded as though she was only firing on 3 or maybe 4 cylinders to start with, but after about 10 seconds all 6 were firing. sort of. What might be the cause? Also, apart from a very loud tiny type tapping, I had a misfire on the right hand side that just refused to go away. I must admit, things did settle down after 5 minutes mind, apart from the misfire that is Coil pack perhaps?

Andyp repaired mine for a small fee, admittedly some time ago now. Might be worth a pm, you never know.

Opinions on wide rear arches..?
Love the proportions of the rear arches of the Blue Z, very subtle. As for the front, just doesn't look right to me. Front bumper aside, the front wheel just doesn't sit well within the arch in my opinion. A bit squashed.

Might be losing my Z
I hope you have hidden them well Gary! :scooter:

Yellow rubberised underseal under paint wheel arches
I would agree, the link below may be of interest. The write ups are interesting also. http://www.bilthamber.com/corrosion-protection-and-rust-treatments/dynax-ub

Yellow rubberised underseal under paint wheel arches
Are you referring to the overall colour beneath the underseal? or localised rubber-like sealant at the joints/seams?

Yellow rubberised underseal under paint wheel arches
I would recommend taking a look at the link below first before deciding.. https://www.bilthamber.com/ Etch primer is out of fashion. Most people these days will use an epoxy primer instead, sticks well and is waterproof, so you don't need to apply top coat quite so quickly.
