  1. hi, don't know about a gtir , but they will fit a nissan patrol! Came across a guy recently who put the seats AND engine from a 300zx into his. Absolute fruit and nutcase  :D
  2. I think a lot of this Women/old age drivers thing is going to get us no-where, because every statistic ever made  shows that young men cause almost every accident. It's the times we live in. Frustration by one driver ,battling against the old laws and ways of the last 100 years of motoring is not going to have any impact on the present. But maybe in the distant future , all laws will change completely. Allowing competent drivers ONLY to drive , regardless of age, creed or class. :)
  3. As Jeff said, probably a hi-cas arm,but make sure you identify where it is. I recently replaced mine because of play in the rear left wheel. But turns out it was the outer arm ball joint causing the trouble.100% my own fault for not getting my mechanic to specify.,
  4. Remember, he's got 4-wheel drive, he obviously drives it wherever the hell he likes .................
  5. Oh, if only !We live in a nanny society now, gotta shut up and do as we're told :nono:
  6. i don't think fuel consumption is all that bad for a zxtt. Consider driving a jag or early 911 turbo, SEVERE fuel consumption. Driver satisfaction from a 300zx is way better. Go for it fella. I'm sure any of the guys on here that live close to you would gladly go with you for a test drive and give you advice that would normally take you months, big internet bill, and not entirely accurate.
  7. sorry!! you know those things in the kitchen sink that are foam one side, scrubby on the other?......thats what I meant
  8. stella for me, but i do love English bitter when i go over there. My father in law brings me to this pub called "the griffin" in stockport where it's a pound a pint. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  9. been using this stuff to clean my alloys with ages, it really is powerful stuff for cleaning shite off your wheels. Spray on , wait 15 mins , then either scrub with a brillo pad and hose down. Or, if you're feeling lazy go to you're nearest car wash and blast it off. Way better than the expensive stuff you buy at a motorfactors. And costs about 2 quid. :nana2:
  10. A run of bad luck or what? But you have made the correct decision, as my father in law always tells me " never throw good money after bad". I'm very sorry this has turned out this way , and you're left with a bad feeliing about the Zed. Maybe when the financial soreness has gone you'll find a good one (they are out there!)
  11. I presume you're not into movies much, but if you like van damme you'll like this. Theres a dark blue 300zx featured in a couple of scenes which have probably been mentioned here loads, so next time you're in your local video shop ask for it, it's a cracking good tarantino movie.
  12. Yes, and it's RED  ...don't remember car of the century though, thought it said "NEW 1994 MODEL"............anyway if that got you going i'm sure you've seen Kill Bill?...1..
  13. don't mean to be rude but always thought it tastes like fresh p*ssy. Well maybe not so fresh. enjoy your toast guys.
  14. Gorgeous on both accounts leigh!
  15. cheers scubie, And utmost respect to the job you do.
  16. sorry bud, does sound serious, i screwed my auto box on a previous z with similar syptoms. it's late and no experts around to give proper advice, but if it is screwed I hope you can locate a decent second hand box, i'm sure i saw one advertised here lately.....was it splatt?
  17. (oh and as already said - if we can pop the door, have your roof off and roll the dash in 20 min im sure your belts arent going to get in the way. ffs!!!) I was referring to the time straight after impact BEFORE emergencies arrive. If a member of the public was concerned about fire/smoke , even if someone was brave enough to jump in after a submerged car, they wouldn't be able to get the doors open wide enough to get anyone out.I've just done an experiment outside and the doors wont open any further than 6 inches. I think it's a valid point , and something nissan should have thought through a bit more.
  18. I'm so sorry to hear that. but well done for reminding us all. only time i ever put it on is when I know i'm approaching an area that regularly has police checkpoints, as i'm sure it's the same with a lot of people. There is one thing that alarms me with the Z though. I often travel with my 6 year old daughter , and always i make sure she's well strapped in before i even switch on the engine. But god forbid , if we were in an accident where we were both unconcious, and someone needed to get us out fast, it could be a struggle to get the doors open because of the seat belt housing on the doors. Does anyone Know if there's a safety mechanism to allow the doors to be opened freely? I often get out of my side first , and especially on a busy road I tell Hannah to wait and I'll go round and accompany her out, but usually forget she's still got her belt on and the door will only open a fraction.
  19. You mentioned you've got a kid, so remember there wont be any nice family days out in a 350 cos it has no backseats ;) Unless of course the mrs follows behind you in the 206......
  20. No problem TiZer, if your ever coming near Waterford and staying over, give us a shout or a pm.
  21. as an overseas user i sometimes feel frustrated about not being able to communicate with other Z owners in my own country, as there is not enough of them to justify a website. But a couple of weeks ago i discovered an Irish forum on cars in general, which I found by accident , joined it, and actually got some good advice and praise about Z. But to get to the point, tonight a guy took the time to write up a detailed history of the Z32 for me, which i was delighted for , but was recieved in the next post by "yeah yeah, boring, please blow up you're avitar of a some babes ass" Now i Know there's a good bit of craic on this site also (even the odd row which usually ends up sorted, but can be quite entertaining late at night :duffer: I love this forum because there's a lot of respect to one another on different subjects.Even on different motors there's none of this attitude. I'm really not trying to be too serious here, i only want to compliment what an excellent site it is :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:
  22. don't know , i'll leave it to the experts
  23. Hey TiZer what part of Ireland do you travel through?
  24. Erm..V-power is stated in its leaflet over here that it's 95 octane, is this the same as 99ron? It's pretty expensive, around 1.28 euro a litre , about£1
  25. lol!, I ordered 4 new studs from nissan a while back and the guy asked me at least 5 times what model it was for and still gave me the wrong ones....Nissan, don't you just love them  :xxx:
